Concept What is ?

is a series of conferences organized by MOX Digital and aims at highlighting how digital is creating new business opportunities and one of the main forces shaping the future.

Focusing on specific examples and case studies, our conferences will lay stress on new behaviors and on how to benefit from these, while preparing for the next ones coming.

We invite renowned speakers and professionals in order to understand precisely and concretely what is changing in society and for established and new companies

We want to go beyond the obvious and the too-often-used-but-rarely-understood expressions such as big data, digital transformation or virtual reality and present new concepts that are arising.

Project First edition

We chose Rio de Janeiro, and Brazil, to host our first edition as the city and country witnessed drastic changes over the last decade. Biggest economy in Latin America, Brazil is often referred to as “the capital of social networks” to illustrate the pace with which people adopted new behaviors. With the World Cup and the Olympic Games, Rio epitomizes these changes with a vivid digital ecosystem and smart city programs.

• Thursday 25/05 morning: MOBILE

Brazil has the highest number of SIM cards per inhabitant in the world (240M for a population of 200M). With mobile being the main access point to the Internet, we see new behaviors creating challenges and opportunities for newcomers and for incumbents.

• Thursday 25/05 afternoon: TECHNOLOGY

Mobile technologies sparked new behaviors calling for new services, providers and rules. But much more is underway with Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, 3D printing or even robots.

Agenda 2 days of conference

• Friday 26/05 morning: DATA

Data is the common denominator of all innovation. Often spoken of but rarely understood, one has to know how to collect data, organize it and act on it to transform data into more efficient decisions and actions.

• Friday 26/05 afternoon: PEOPLE

Yet, in the end, it’s people who make decisions and implement them. New skill sets are needed from providers and employees while education itself is being transformed and announces a different future.
