Feb.10 th - HOLIDAY- NO SCHOOL. Feb. 17 th - HOLIDAY- NO SCHOOL. 1. GET A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP The national sleep foundation recommends students get 8-11 hours of sleep per night. 2. ARRIVE ON TIME Class begins at 8:10a.m. With the exception of late start Wednesdays (9:10a.m.). Please make sure that your child is ON TIME EVERYDAY so that they do not miss any lessons. If your child is late or absent consistently this may lead to a meeting with Mrs. Canning (Principal) and Mrs. Juarez (Attendance clerk). 3. COME TO SCHOOL PREPARED Please make sure that your child is bringing their materials that are needed in class every day. Asking a neighbor can easily distract other students. 4. RESPECT YOUR PEERS/ TEACHER. ALWAYS be on your best behavior. When a student is misbehaving and distracting others they are sent to the office, and miss the lesson the teacher is giving. Snowden School Spirit Shirt If you would like to purchase a shirt for your student; they are on sale for $10. Food Service: Breakfast Schedules: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday- 7:15a.m.-8:00a.m. Wednesday- 8:15a.m.-9:00a.m. SORRY, NO FOOD WILL BE SERVED AFTER THESE TIMES! *If unable to make these times, ensure your child has breakfast at home. Message from School Counselor: Parents, if you would like your child to receive extra social emotional support with the school counselor, fill out the form regarding your needs by entering the link on any smartphone or computer. http://bit.ly/snowcounseling. Also, backpacks are available for students/families that are in need of one for the school year. Please contact the school if needed. Nurse’s Desk: Reminder: Please make sure your child is eating a good, healthy breakfast before school to avoid a trip to the nurse’s office. Also, class head checks for head lice are done regularly. Office Message: Remember: ONLY contacts that are listed on the emergency card will be able to pick up students early NO EXCEPTIONS are made. Please make sure that your child knows how he/she will be getting home or if he/she will be staying for the after school program. If changes need to be made on emergency card or students’ transportation please come in the office or send a note signed by a parent/guardian. CHANGES WILL NOT BE MADE OVER THE PHONE FOR YOUR CHILDS SAFETY. Lastly, birthdays are celebrated the last 10 minutes of class. You are only allowed to bring 1 ITEM AND IT MUST BE STORE BOUGHT. Please confirm with your students teacher before coming in. Thank You. Principal Message: Please do NOT park in the roundabout from 7a.m. – 8:10a.m. and 2:10p.m. – 2:20p.m, when dropping off or picking up your students. As an alternative we would like to remind you that we do have the back gate open during drop offs/pickups and parents are allowed to park and wait for their students in this area.

1. DORMIR BIEN EN LA NOCHE. La fundación nacional del sueño recomienda que los estudiantes duerman de 8 a 11 horas por noche.

2. Llegar a tiempo. La clase comienza a las 8:10 a.m. Con la excepción del inicio tardío los miércoles (9:10 a.m.). Asegúrese de que su hijo llegue a TIEMPO TODOS LOS DÍAS para que no se pierda ninguna lección. Si su hijo llega tarde o está ausente constantemente, esto lleva a una reunión con la Sra. Canning (Directora) y la Sra. Juárez (secretaria de asistencia).

3. Ven a la escuela preparada/o. Asegúrese de que su hijo traiga sus materiales todos los dias. Pedirle a un vecino puede distraer fácilmente a otros estudiantes.

4. Respeta a tus companeros/ maestro/a. Siempre este en su mejor comportamiento. Cuando un estudiante se está portando mal y distrae a otros, la maestra/o los manda a la oficina y se pierden la lección que el maestro está dando.

Mensaje de la consejera escolar: Padres, si desea que su hijo reciba apoyo social y emocional adicional con la consejera escolar, complete el formulario con respecto a sus necesidades ingresando el enlace en cualquier teléfono inteligente o computadora. http://bit.ly/snowcounseling. Además, hay mochilas disponibles para estudiantes / familias que necesitan una para el año escolar. Por favor, póngase en contacto con la escuela si es necesario.

Si necesita hacer cambios en la tarjeta de emergencia o en el transporte de los estudiantes, por favor entre a la oficina o mande una nota firmada a la oficina. LOS CAMBIOS NO SE HARÁN POR TELÉFONO. Los cumpleaños se celebran los últimos 10 minutos de clase. Solo 1 artículo por favor, debe ser comprado en la tienda. Por favor confirme con el maestro antes de venir. MENSAJE DE LA DIRECTORA: NO se estacione en la rotonda a partir de las 7 a.m. - 8:10 a.m. y 2:10 p.m. - 2:20 p.m, al dejar o recoger a sus estudiantes. Como alternativa, nos gustaría recordarle que tenemos la puerta trasera abierta durante la entrada/salida y que los padres pueden estacionarse y esperar a sus estudiantes en esta área.
