procedures

• Accountability– Compliance with Code– Behavior with customers

• Capability– Information security management

(including data protection)– Service continuity management– Service level management– Supplier management– Software license management

10 thoughts on the Cloud• Plenty of growth in Cloud Computing, although it’s still only a

fraction of overall IT spend• The industry needs to speak with more clarity about Cloud• The intersection of Cloud, Mobile and Social will transform the smart

enterprises • For buyers there has never been more choice• But picking winners is tougher – who will be around in 3 years?• Security is still the big issue/barrier/misconception• Cloud supply chain is crucial – data security, privacy, sovereignty• IT and the CIO are looking to standards and best practice (so

consider the CIF Code of Practice)• The CIO can be more strategic, but needs to watch for the business

units doing their own thing• Even in the current economic climate it’s a great time for cloud

solution providers if you’ve got vision, passion and agility
