Welcome to theGreater Valley Forge Annual Summit.GVFHRA is proud to offer this annual opportunityto expand the knowledge and skill base of ourmembers. This year our theme – The 4 T’s of HR!Talent, Technology, Trends and Transformationwas inspired by the concept of the “Marketing Mix”or 4 P’s of Marketing. Our aim is to examineareas where HR plays a crucial role in a successfulorganization. Talent, Technology, Trends andTransformation form the foundations of not onlyan HR strategy, but an organizational strategy.

Our Summit begins with a panel of highly respectedHR leaders from the Greater Philadelphia area’s topcompanies who will share some of the challengesthey have overcome and the successes they haveenjoyed while leading the HR function in theirorganization. Following the panel discussion, therewill be four break-out sessions throughout theremainder of the day which will offer insight andpractical knowledge attendees will be able toincorporate into their own organization.

HR will continue to play a vital role in leading growthand driving change within an organization. We mustremain focused on critical business results and howwe are able to effect outcomes through:

• Attracting, developing, effectively compensatingand retaining top talent

• Using technology to make our HR processesand practices more efficient

• Staying “current” and working with otherbusiness units to ensure we are meeting thedemands of a changing workforce

• Embracing transformation and leading changeas our organizations move forward

Our Summit Committee has worked hard to provide aday of thought-provoking, relevant, business-mindedprogramming. We hope that you will be challenged bysome of the concepts that you learn about today. Wealso hope that you will learn not only from our panelistsand speakers but from each other as you continue tomake connections with the local HR community.

Thank you for investing in yourprofessional development and joining us today!

Sincerly,

The Best Investment For Your Business - HRMusser Auditorium - KMRD Partners, Inc. RoomThis presentation will be interactive with a mix casestudy on best practices and lessons learned, leadingthe participants through a table exercise to identifyhow they can promote “investment” of HumanResources into the business. The case study isbased on the following situation:In 2015, Vanguard’s Finance division undertook astrategic review of its procurement and sourcingfunction and concluded that a significant transformationwas required. As the work turned from strategy toimplementation, the business created an OrganizationReadiness team to support all people aspects of thechange along a multi-year journey.
