About Bill Wadman

Bill Wadman (born January 4, 1975) is an American portrait photographer.

‘Motion’ started as an experiment, a departure from my traditional and conceptual portrait work.

The images were captured in a dark room with a single soft light source shining down on the dancers from above. Wadman shot with a Canon 5D Mark II and a 35mm f/1.4 lens using a 3-second exposure with his lens stopped down to f/11.

My ImagesThese images were the first images I shot using inspiration from Bill Wadman’s motion images, my camera settings were similar to his.

- F/1.4 lens - 5 second exposure- ISO 400

My ISO settings were 600F Stop 10Shutter Speed 20 SecondsThese images were shot with the model wearing red which was decided due to the fact that it showed really well and stood out, emphasizing the movements and making them more noticeable.
