For example, you can add a pin to a board by cutting and pasting the url from the site where the object was found.

The pin will then “populate” by grabbing photos from the url you entered.

The Pin will then show up on your Board and in the “pinfeed” of all the people who have opted to follow your Pins.

If someone likes your Pin, they can “like” or comment on it . . .

. . . Or, they can “repin” my Pin onto one of their Boards.

But (and here’s the real beauty of Pinterest), if someone clicks twice on my Pin, they will be taken to the website where I found the item in the first place.

Now the person who liked my Pin enough to click on it knows exactly where to go to buy the item.
