• Citrix Workspace Cloud is a management platform that integrates across Citrix workspace technologies. • IT professionals use it to simplify combining multiple services to create secure
mobile workspaces, the groups of apps, data and tools that help people work more productively from virtually anywhere, on any device.

Shifting Management into a Cloud Service:
• We can think of the current way customers/partners operate Citrix environments as having to (a) install BOTH the management facilities (b) having to install virtual assets like desktops and applications, and (c) having to integrate them with other services to arrive at a virtual workspace.
• <Click>
• With Citrix Workspace Cloud, the need to install and configure management facilities, and the need to manually integrate services, is all shifted into a Citrix-operated service. Admins still retain full choice of where to locate data and VMs…. But they can rely on Citrix to provide a consistent integration and deployment of workspace assets.

• Let’s take a closer look at the Workspace cloud services platform.
• Within the platform you’ll find the Control Center – which handles basic platform functions such as handling single sign-on and other core platform operations
• The service platform itself helps integrate across core services providing an orchestration layer of sorts
• Each service corresponds to a Citrix Product technology, but implemented as a hybrid service or full web service
• The Cloud Connectors provide secure connectivity to Resource Locations where some services (such as virtual desktops and applications) reside. Additionally they provide secure connectivity to enterprise directories to use when assigning workspaces to subscribers.

• Now let’s put Workspace Cloud into a broader perspective – one that shows how Citrix now offers a spectrum of possible route-to-market for our value propositions.
• On the Far Left is our traditional software route to market. IT manages all aspects of installation, management, etc. They have full control over all the pieces… but not all customers require this.
• On the Far Right is a completely hosted route to market… where a 3rd party (SP, SI, MSP, Citrix CSP) hosts the entire Citrix environment on behalf of the customer, and the customer cedes all control to the provider. (Of course, the provider uses the traditional approach on the left when creating their own environment).
• In the center, we are introducing Workspace Cloud. An approach that simplifies how customers/partners can access Citrix products/services. Its services provide easier and faster workspace creation than the traditional approach on the left, yet provides more control than complete workspace outsourcing on the right.

Zones • Hypervisors, Catalogs, VDAs, and Connectors can be grouped into Zones • A zone could represent an on-premises datacenter or a cloud region • Each zone should have a pair of Connectors for HA
