Brick Repointing Process

Repointing is the process of renewing the external part of mortar joints in masonry construction.

Mix up enough mortar with correct water level until the mix is stiff.

Should remove loose mortar on damaged Bricks by using chisel.

Brush out all loose particles.

Place new mortar into the hole.

Push the mortar in between two bricks.

Place in huge mortar after the first batch of mortar is stiff.

Once the mortar has dried, scrub the area with a stiff brush to wipe away particles of

the mortar onto the bricks.
