How to Access, Create and Publish Posts to the MRKT452 Consumer Behavior Blog Using

Login to myMcGill

- Open the email sent by Tumblr and click on the link provided. - If the email is not in your Inbox, check the Junk folder.

- Sign up for Tumblr if you don’t already have an account.

- Enter a username, password and personal URL – the latter bit is for your own personal blog which you can decide to use or not.

Ultimately, this gives you access and the ability to post to the MRKT452 Consumer Behavior blog.

IMPORTANT:Please make sure your personal URL allows yourself to be clearly identified. The quality and the quantity of posts you publish throughout the semester will be tallied up and feed into your participation grade.

Your homepage should look like this.

The name of your personal blog.

Go back to the Tumblr email invitation and click on the link provided again.

Your homepage should now look like this.Notice the new tab entitled “MRKT452 Consumer Behavior” at the top.

Clicking on “Open MRKT452 Consumer Behavior” opens the blog itself. It should look like this…

To create a post, simply click on one of the tabs above depending on whether you would like to include text, photos, audio or video.

- Say you clicked on the “Video” tab. Simply input the URL of the video you would like to share and add a caption explaining how you found

the video and why you found it interesting while relating it to consumer behavior.

- Once you’re finished, click on the “Create Post” button at the bottom left and voilà!

Your post shows up on the blog.

When uploading multiple photos from your desktop, Tumblr gives you layout options.

Once again, when you click “Create Post”, your post shows up on the blog.
