Changing Daily Habits

• Switch off anything that uses electricity• Unplug devices• Run air conditioner sparingly • Don’t use electronic exercise machines• Conserve water• Recycle • Avoid using disposable items

Change Eating Habits

• Eat less meat/dairy• Don’t drink coffee from k-cups • Buy local• Don’t waste food• Use reusable water bottles

Change Transportation Habits

• Walk or bike for local trips• Carpool• Use mass transit• Work from home (if possible)• Drive a hybrid car• Take fewer flights

Make Home Improvements

• Install skylights • Switch to LED light bulbs• Check for leaks• Install window treatments• Install solar panels• Install insulation in your attic

Adapt Your Yard• Plant a Garden• Make it available to wildlife• Avoid pesticides and man made chemical

fertilizers• Plant a tree• Make a compost area

Reuse Items

• Buy secondhand clothes/items• Donate your clothes/items• Upcycle (turn junk into something useful)• Use reusable fabric bags
