A little bit of history… Montcada was for decades one of the most

polluted cities in Spain. 3 Rivers, 6 industrial states, 3 highways and

railways, an incinerator…

La Farge It’s an incinerator and an extractor of minerals. This polluted the air of our inhabitants.

But in the 90’s, it was created an environment group that wanted to clean their city.

The fight against the pollution Since this group started to protest about pollution,

lots of laws and actions have been created and done to protect environment.

However, Montcada isn’t a clean city nowadays. But the city council built a Natural Park aside the

river.

The water treatment plant It was built in 2002 to clean Montcada’s

water and turn it back to the rivers afterwards.
