We decided to use Serif DrawPlus X5 to create our logo. The name of our production company is ‘AWS’, standing for ‘Amy’, ‘Weronika’ and ‘Sarah’.

The font we used was ‘Accord Heavy SF’ as it’s a similar font to what other world known production companies use. We feel it’s a simple but affective font.

We changed the colour of the font from black to a deep, bloody red. Our genre is horror and we felt this colour represented that.

For our logo we wanted to create a clapper board. Firstly we got a ‘quick rectangle’ from the tool bar on the left.

To create the part of the board that claps down we again used the ‘quick rectangle’ from the tool bar on the left. We then attached this diagonally to the bigger rectangle.

A clapper board usually consists of the colours black and white, so we filled the bigger rectangle in black using the colour tool on the right.

We filled in the smaller rectangle in black again using the colour tool on the right.

To make the checked pattern on the part of the board that claps down we used the ‘quick rectangle’, coloured it white and made it small enough to fit into the smaller black rectangle.

We copied and pasted the small, white rectangle and placed it a space away from the other one.

We continued to place them a space away from each other in the smaller black rectangle.

We added one last white rectangle to achieve our checked look.

We then used the ‘quick rectangle’ again, coloured it white and placed it at the top of the bigger black rectangle.

We then added ‘Productions’ at the bottom of the clapper board and coloured it in blue.

We then added ‘Productions’ at the bottom of the clapper board and coloured it in blue.

Finally, we grouped the whole thing together and made it 3D.
