OUR TOWN

Bagheria

Bagheria is a little town near Palermo and the seaside.

Bagheria is known as “The City of Villas” because there are many ancient and beautiful buildings.

They belonged to the nobles of Palermo, who lived there by the end of the 17 Th Century.

The first noble who decided to spend his holidays in this beautiful green place was Giuseppe Branciforti “ Prince of Butera”

He built “Palazzo Butera” in 1658.

Now about 55.000 people live here.

The principal

economic activities

are :

AGRICULTURE

FISHING

TOURISM

The only handmade product is the “Carretto Siciliano”, an old mean of transport.

These images tell the history of “Paladini”.

Bagheria has many shops. There are many schools and some green spaces for children.

OUR REGION

Our region, Sicily, is a sunny island with green mountains and the lovely blue Mediterrenian Sea.

When you visit Italy, don’t forget beautiful Sicily!
