What is Pinterest?/How can it be used?

• Pinterest is a social media that allows you to share images with links.

• Like “tags” and get images/resources related to those tags (great for collecting resources)

• Share ideas with students for inspiration, tutorials, research, or collating student work for portfolios and exemplar resources.

• You can upload your own images or “Pin” images from the internet.

Go to http://uk.pinterest.com/ and log in or sign up

This is the dashboard, it will have images that are related to your liked tags. Click the profile

button in the top right

Create a new board

Fill in the form and add any collaborators

Name of the board

Description of the boardPick the category

of the board (Users that like that category may see the

board)

Add a map to the posts (good for boards that are location based)

Make the board secret (only

invited users can access the board)

Search for users to have editing rights on the board (the user will

need to have a Pinterest account to be

invited)Once the form is complete click create
