we know that a lot of brands and organizations

try to tap into this interest WHEN THEY ARE SPEAKING TO

YOUNG PEOPLE.

BUT MOST OF THE TIME, KIDS ARE NOT LISTENING.

AND THE REASON FOR THIS IS BECAUSE….

They understand that technology has changed

but they don’t understand that communication has changed…

Your social media campaign should be about capturing and organizing conversations from your community. If content creation rather than aggregation is your strategy: just say no!

get free stuff

Great news! Many tools that allow you to capture and curate user conversations are free and awesome. Know them. Use them.

3 TIP

know nerds in low places

One day, you might want to build your own app. So make friends with nerds today so that you can build the software of your dreams tomorrow. Local tech meet ups and post graduate tech programs are great places to network with nerds.

4 TIP

manage your community

Creating an online community means managing the user conversation . Creating a user driven community comes with risks. Understand those risks and make a plan for how to manage them.

5 TIP

be yourself

The most successful social media campaigns are ones that bring an authentic voice to the space. So be real, speak from the heart, have an opinion!
