Year 10 Summer Literacy Project

Hi Year 10.Below is a list of suggested activities for you to complete over the summer holiday in preparation for Year 11. Try some of them or all of them – but completing them would get you off to a flying start at the beginning of Year 11. When you come back, be prepared to tell your teacher which activities you have completed.

Remember to keep evidence of your work to show your teacher at the start of term. Have a good holiday!

Follow this link to find commentaries and activities on ‘Of Mice and Men’. Try writing down ten main points you would like to remember and then repeating them to someone at home.

WritingCGP GCSE English Revision Guides – lots of good tips for success in the exams. Get one of these guides and try to do a few exercises per week.

Read a leaflet or flyer which is delivered through your door and identify GAP. Also try to jot down notes on the use of colour, layout and language.
