Welcome to the ALS Association 2016 Clinical Conference App!

For best results, please download the app prior to attending the conference

1. Downloading the app: The app is available in all app stores and is searchable by “The ALS

Association” or “ALSAssoc2016”. If you have trouble locating the app, please use one of the

below links, depending on your phone:

2. Logging in: Once the app is downloaded, we recommend that you login in order to take

advantage of the full suite of functionality that the app offers. In order to login, please select the

“Login” icon at the top right and entering the email address that you used to register for the

conference.

3. Personalizing your profile: Now that you’ve successfully logged in, you will be able to complete

your profile, send messages to other attendees, and create a personalized agenda.

Accessing your profile: Select the profile icon to the right of your name at the top of the app.

You will be able to add a picture, share a brief bio, and include your website and social media

handles.

Sending messages: Interact with other attendees by selecting “Messages” under the Profile

section or selecting an attendee profile under the “Attendees” section of the main app menu

(see pgs. 11-12).

Creating a personalized agenda: Build a personalized schedule by selecting the events and

presentations that you plan to attend. Select the “Agenda” icon under the Profile section and

selecting “Add Sessions”. *Sessions can also be added by navigating the Agenda section under

the main menu (see pg. 7).

Sessions can either be sorted by date and time or by tracks:

4. Navigating the Menu: The main menu can be accessed by selecting the “Menu” icon on the top

left-hand side of the app. The menu will display as a left navigation panel with clickable icons.

From here you can navigate to the Home Screen, which allows for quick and easy access to

several important sections, or scroll down the menu to see a complete list of offerings.

5. Viewing specific session, poster, speaker, attendee, and sponsor/exhibitor details: Each

content area listed on the event app’s navigation menu, will bring you to a page with more

detail.

Accessing agenda details: Click “Agenda” on the navigation menu and then click on a specific

agenda item for date and time, location, description, and speaker information. You can also add

the agenda item to your personalized schedule, take notes, Tweet about the session, and view

the presentation, if provided. * The location links are interactive! Click on the red location

hyperlink and a map with the exact location of the event will appear.

* If provided, presentation slide decks and handouts can be found under “Documents” at the

bottom of most session or poster listings. These can be saved to iBooks (or a comparable

application) or emailed to yourself:

6. Providing Feedback: In an effort to ‘go green’, all feedback will be solicited through and

completed in the app. This includes session surveys and the post-conference evaluation.

Providing session feedback: Each presentation listing contains a brief survey, located under

“Session Feedback” at the bottom of the session detail page. Please complete the survey for

each session that you attend. Make sure to hit “Submit” when you’ve completed the survey.

Voting on your favorite poster: The dedicated poster session will be held on Friday, November

4, 2016, in Foyer II from 1:15 – 2:15 pm. Please attend and vote for your favorite poster:

Completing the post-conference survey: At the end of the conference, please complete the

post-conference evaluation for the overall program. Your feedback will be instrumental in

developing future educational initiatives. Make sure to hit “Submit” when you’ve completed the

survey.
