Primary Goals: Support growth in student achievement for students identified as G/T students

based on Franklin’s G/T identification criteria Coordinate student placement and programming while providing professional

development to staff members

Schedule and Communication: Maintain consistent scheduled visits to all district buildings Provide flexibility within schedule to reconnect with buildings

based on teacher and/or student need Communicate with district staff and parents in a timely manner

via phone, email, and district web site

School Schedule:

Office hours and time allocated for each building will be indicated on schedule that will be emailed to all staff.

Roles and Responsibilities: Promote a school-wide culture that supports G/T

programming Communicate the components of comprehensive G/T

programming to administrators Develop home-school connections to establish

effective parent-teacher relationships Support classroom teachers with differentiated

instruction needs Develop and monitor entrance/exit G/T criteria Collect and analyze data related to G/T placement

decisions Maintain G/T website Order materials to support G/T programming

What essential knowledge and skills do we use to work smartly on behalf of our kids?

Literacy Implementation

Literacy Night – October 5th from 6-7:15pm (all staff)

Meeting with grade levels every 7 weeks – meeting schedule

◦ CST meetings focused on interventions for students struggling behaviorally and/or academically

◦ Teams –Please notify Karen of student concerns before grade level CST

IMPORTANT NOTE: Fill out a CST form (handout) if you have a student that you feel will need further intervention ideas from the collaborative support team.

• SIP Team and PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) / TBD

• Tech Tool Time / Two designated times/month (Mondays)

• Staff Meetings / Focus on learning together (W)

• Collaboration Meetings – Grade level (W) and Vertical Grade Levels (F-5 week rotation)

Pleasant View with Christine Jameson. Christine Jameson responsible for:

◦ Ben Franklin, Southwood Glen, and will share Pleasant View with Jill Polglaze.

Chad Kafka will support 6th grade ITLS integration (middle school model).

Flexible schedule in order to support teachers with ITLS integration.

Focus on grades 3, 4, & 5 ITLS integration, collaboration, and curriculum support.

Tech Tool Times - support staff proficiencies (Basic/Advanced TTT topics) in assigned buildings.

Manage LMC (library/lab). Train and supervise EA’s.

Day to day operation of LMC. EA’s can be used for support for follow up

library research/lab activities (pre-planned activities – not last minute).

EA’s will be responsible for classroom visits and story time.

LMS will be more visible and accessible. Better support of ITLS integration. Program will provide continuity and be

viable.

Staff Technology Proficiencies◦ Introduced last spring◦ Watch for e-mail from LuAnn Zielinski with

information and self-check list◦ Attend TTT each month◦ All staff need to complete by May◦ Principals will conference with you at end of year

evaluation regarding proficiencies portfolio PowerTeacher – new version

Principals will review Staff Technology Proficiencies process with staff at opening building meeting.

Key points include: Staff should watch for e-mail from LuAnn Zielinski regarding the

on-line proficiency form to complete for portfolio of skills Staff should go through self-check list to determine areas of need Staff can demonstrate proficiency month by month or do all at

once at the beginning of the year. Support to staff to master level one skills will be available through

TTT, handouts/videos on fpstech.wikispaces.com, technology go tos, ITL aides & tech coaches

All staff are expected to attend one Tech Tool Time each month (one TTT will be beginner, one will offer advanced/differentiated learning)

At end of school year, principals/APs will ask staff to show portfolio and verify completion of level 1 skills during staff evaluation process

Danielson Framework for Teaching◦ For teachers receiving written feedback, DF will be used

for a minimum of one of the required observations◦ Any written evaluation will be an observation that is at

least 20 minutes in length Observation formats

◦ Impromptu-Observation without set date and time-may have a post conference

◦ Video Classroom-Teacher may video and critique lesson
