Year 1 Summer Revision Pack

This pack will help your with the transition from Year 1 into Year 2.

Completion of this pack is optional and you do not need to return this to the school.

June 2020

Dear Parents,We hope that you will have a brilliant summer break and will be ready for the start of a new school year. In September we will all begin an adventure in to Year 2. It is thought that children in Year 2 should have around 10 hours sleep a night as it is important that children come to school ready to learn. We would also ask that children come to year 2 equipped with a pencil, rubber and ruler every day. In addition to the reading comprehensions included we would also ask that you read with your child for 10 minutes every night in order to maintain their love of reading. It is also beneficial for children to practice their phonics so that they remember all the sounds for writing. This revision book contains some tasks and spellings that you will need for September as well as a list of useful websites that you can access from home to support your learning. We have left the decision on how much of the booklet the children complete up to you. It is an optional learning tool and it does not need to be returned to school.

Enjoy your summer revision book! The Year 2 Team
