Right to left - Rescue 42, 2011 Braun, Rescue 41, 2017 Braun and our replaced 2005 Wheeled Coach
Pinewood Fire Department’s New Ambulance
The Pinewood Fire Department has just completed the purchase and certification of our
newest ambulance to serve the citizens of Munds Park and the many travelers passing through
our area. The new 2017 Braun ambulance replaces a 2005 Wheeled Coach unit with 94,000
miles on its odometer, and while the mileage doesn’t appear to be excessive, due to the harsh
operating conditions in our community and the nature of our responses, it had become worn
and unreliable.
Our original fleet management plan for the ambulances is to have them provide 5 years of
frontline service followed by 5 years of second line service, and as you can see, this unit has
certainly performed as required. However, a decision was made 8 years ago to purchase
ambulance bodies that would be transferrable to a new chassis when the original chassis wore
out, and by utilizing this program, we would save the department over $100,000 per replace-
ment. It was also decided to buy a heavier duty chassis that could be expected to last over 7
years of frontline service, thereby extending the lifespan of the chassis replacement period by
an additional 4 years. The purchase of this newest ambulance is phase two of this fleet man-
agement plan, which has included the purchase of our last Braun ambulance in 2011.
The Pinewood Fire Department and the Pinewood Fire Department Auxiliary will be holding
several fund raising events and contribution activities during the year to assist in paying this
new ambulance off as early as possible. Please consider donating and/or participating in our
fundraising events.
Hopefully, you will not have to see the inside of one of our Braun ambulances on a business
basis, but we always look forward to giving guided tours. So if you’re in the neighborhood and
would like to see our beautifully maintained fleet of fire engines and ambulances, please stop
by and say Hi!

I know that the weather is getting better in
Munds Park and that the calendar says it’s
spring, but I don’t trust the northern Arizona
weather. There WILL be snow in April. So until I
think I’m safely into warmer temperatures, I’m
staying right here.
Here in Puerto Penasco I go sit outside in the
sun to dry my hair, go to Puesta Del Sol at Playa
Bonita for a rousing game of Mexican Train. I
almost always end up with the high score! Oh,
but that’s not a good thing… low score is what
you want. A friend suggested that we change the
rule to go to high score wins, but I would proba-
bly have a complete reversal and get only low
scores and still lose. But I love the game. On
occasion, I visit with friends and start “Happy
Hour” early. The view at Puesta Del Sol is gor-
geous. It is right on the beach with views, sun-
shine and shade if you want it.
Last Saturday, I went to a Mark Mulligan con-
cert at the pool in Pink Cadillac. Mark Mulligan is
a “Trop Rock” singer who I call a poor man’s
Jimmy Buffett. Once a month we get together to
celebrate birthdays for that month. Charlie and
Jackie supply a beautiful cake which feeds, I
believe, everyone in the place and it was a siz-
able crowd. Mark Mulligan is a Rocky Point
favorite. A couple of weeks ago I went to a
“house concert” at friends home in Las Conchas.
The entertainer was Christopher Dale from
California. He writes, as does Mark Mulligan, his
own music. It was another wonderful evening on
the patio on the beach. Everyone brought some-
thing to share and believe me, they are as good
a cooks here as in Pinewood Fire Auxiliary.
Some of my weather reasons for staying away
for the month of April are below:
April Records
Avg High was 80 in 1992
Low Max High was 27 in 1999
Highest low temp was 51 in 2001
Lowest Min temp was -2 in 1975
-2 in April!! That’s cold!
Normal Average was 42.9 High tempAverage was 50.4 in 1989 and the Low Averagewas 36.2 1975
24 hour snowfall total in the month of Aprilfrom a low of 3.2 in 1900 to a high of 17.8 in1997 and all numbers in between.
Maximum snowfall in April with the year itoccurred, keeping in mind the average is 11.8:”
58.3" 1965, 41.8" 1999, 40.3" 1900,34.5" 1917, 33.1" 1988
Average last date for measurable snow-fall..................................May 9
Snowfall from April 1 -April 5, 1999 41.3"with 11.0" in one day
Snowfall from April 15 - April 17, 1917 was27.5" with 15.0" in one day
Flagstaff APRIL Avg High temp; 58.4; Avg
Low Temp 27.3 which means the Avg Temp is
42.9 and the average high here in Mexico is 75
and the low is about 59. In 35 years we have
always had snow in April! Basically I don’t want
to take a chance that April bring 27.5” of snow in
three days, or that it will be down to -2 over-night
or that the high for any given day will be 27. l do
not trust April!
On to more important issues like wildfires! We
are in the middle of what is called the
wildland/Urban Interface (WUI) which is our
homes and property here in Munds Park. There
are things we need to do to keep our community
and our property. I’ve looked a few suggestions
from the Firewise™.
•Rake and remove pine needles and dry
leaves within a minimum of 3 to 5 feet of a
home’s foundation. As time permits – continue
up to a 30-foot distance around the home.
Dispose of collected debris in appropriate trash
receptacles.
•Get out your measuring tape and see how
close wood piles are located to the home. If clos-
er than 30 feet, they need to be relocated and
moved at least 30’ away from structures.
•Sweep porches and decks clearing them of
leaves and pine needles. Rake under decks,
porches, sheds and play structures. Make sure
you dispose of debris.
•Mow grasses to a height of four inches or
less.
•On mature trees, use hand pruners and lop-
pers to remove low-hanging tree branches up to
a height of 4 feet from the ground (specific height
depends on the type and size of tree).
•Collect downed tree limbs and broken
branches and take them to a disposal site.
•Remove items stored under decks and porch-
es and relocate it to a storage shed, garage, or
basement. Gasoline cans and portable propane
tanks should never be stored indoors and should
be located away from the home.
•Can you see your home’s address number
from the street? If not, trim overgrown vegetation
covering or blocking the numbers.
•Screen or box-in areas below patios and
decks with wire screening no larger than 1/8”
mesh to help keep embers out during a fire.
•Take a walk through your garden and see
which types of Firewise plants work best in your
landscaping. Get a list of Firewise plants.
•During an evacuation pets have special
needs too – build an emergency kit for your ani-
mals.
Check with the fire department to find out whoto contact regarding Firewise™ as ourCommunity has been a Firewise™ Communityfor several years.
Be Safe and see you in May
(I don’t trust April).

KNOW THE LAW: MOVE OVER!All we’re asking is that drivers move over one lane to create a safe margin of
space when passing by any vehicle on the side of the road with lights flashing –that includes regular passenger vehicles, tow trucks, highway maintenancevehicles, ambulances and law enforcement vehicles. If moving over isn’t possi-ble or safe, we ask that you slow down and drive by with caution.
We want you to do this not only because it’s the law, but because it couldhelp save a life…
Across the nation, a number people killed each year after being struck by avehicle while on the side of a roadway. These types of crashes kill one towtruck driver every six days; 23 highway workers and one law enforcement offi-cer every month and five firefighters every year.
Tow truck drivers, highway workers, paramedics and law enforcement offi-cers are most at risk, but any driver who pulls over for whatever reason – flattire, no gas, engine trouble, etc. – faces this danger.
Drivers who are pulled over could be cited for the moving violationthat comes with a $150+ fine depending on your jurisdiction.

Another major family holiday meal iscoming up and if you are going to be thehostess and the person in charge of thefood you may be starting to plan yourmenu.
Many families have favorites andaccording to tradition some dishes just“have to be” served. Maybe it’s great-grandma’s potatoes or a special way tocook and serve lamb or ham. This is fineif great-grandma was a good cook; butnot so fine if she wasn’t. Here are fourrecipes that you can add to your menualong with the family favorites.
Strawberry Spinach Salad2 tablespoons sesame seeds1 tablespoon poppy seeds1/2 cup white sugar1/2 cup olive oil1/4 cup distilled white vinegar1/4 teaspoon paprika1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce1 tablespoon minced onion10 ounces fresh spinach - rinsed, dried and torn into bite-size pieces1 quart strawberries - cleaned, hulled and sliced1/4 cup almonds, blanched and sliveredDirectionsIn a medium bowl, whisk together the
sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, oliveoil, vinegar, paprika,Worcestershire sauceand onion. Cover, and chill for one hour.

preheated oven, or until tender.
Melt the butter in a saucepan
over medium heat. Remove from
heat, and stir in soy sauce and
sesame oil. Pour over the
baked asparagus to serve.
Rhubarb bars
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup cold butter
FILLING:
2 cups sugar
7 tablespoons all-purpose flour

and sugar; cut in butter until the

13x9-in.baking pan. Bake at 350°
for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, for filling, combine
sugar and flour in a bowl. Whisk
in cream and eggs. Stir in the
rhubarb. Pour over crust. Bake at
350° for 40-45 minutes or until

Did you Know:
The date of Easter is different every
year because it was originally based on
the Jewish holiday of Passover, which
falls on different days every year. Now,
Easter is the first Sunday after the first
full moon on or after the Vernal Equinox.

The creatures were stirring from their long winter's rest,
Awaiting the people's return to their nest.
"I hear them," the bat screeched, ,"they're really quite near.
It shouldn't be long now before they are here."
"They're coming!" the jay screamed, "they're coming at last!
I hope they'll be getting our feeders up fast!"
"Caw," sneered the raven "they've too much to do
to spend time on feeders for those such as you!"
"Ha HA!" laughed the woodpecker, "we'll prove that you're wrong!
They'll be filling those feeders before very long!"
"ME!" hummed the hummingbird, "What about me?
Will they fill up MY feeder, hang it back on the tree?"
"My stores are depleted," lamented the squirrel.
"I do hope they'll bring back that nice little girl."
Squeaked the rabbit, "Before long they'll be planting their flowers,
And there'll be some sweet buds that I can devour."
Sighed the spider, "That woman will be out with her broom,
And I have a sixth sense of impending doom."
The skunk smiled, "I'll leave them a welcoming spray,
A little reminder to stay out of my way."
Growled the ground squirrel, "I'm a bully, take more than my share,
But I have to eat, too, and I really don't care!"
"We've shed tons of needles," murmured the pines.
"Raking them up will take much of their time."
The columbine whispered, "I've sent out my blooms
For the people to gather to brighten their rooms."
The cricket chirped, "Maybe I'll rub them a song--
We insects are nice folks, they've got us all wrong."
The raccoon grunted, hopeful, "They'll go to the store!
There'll be stuff in their trash cans for us to explore!"
The people drove up and the man parked their car.
They breathed the fresh air--they'd driven quite far.
"See the birds! There's a squirrel!" the little girl cried.
"Yes, Katie, but first we must all go inside.
The next thing we'll do is to hang up the feeders,
And then you'll put food out for all of the creatures."
Faint happy sounds wafted in on the breeze.
Perhaps it was wind caressing the trees?
Munds Park Community Watchby Len Friedlund
This is the third article in a seven part series which will address the activi-
ty that is happening in Munds Park regarding emergencies that can occur and
what some of the organizations are doing to provide our residents with assis-
tance and protection. Unless a resident is part of the groups that will be pro-
filed, it is difficult for someone to really understand what is being established
as a plan for the community.
In the previous articles, the Pinewood Fire Department (PFD) was pro-
filed. A short description was given of some of the activity that the full time
staff of 15 Firefighters plus the Reserves do to help the community. There
are two other groups in the PFD structure: the Community Volunteers who
assist PFD with non-fire suppression activities and the Munds Park
Community Watch (MPCW) whose captains secure contact information from
the residents for PFD and the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
There are two programs in the CCSO that provide assistance to the com-
munity. The first is the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
comprised of thirty residents that meet monthly in Munds Park and partici-
pate in various drills and exercises that simulate events requiring specialized
actions. Snow storms, wild fires, or evacuations are just some of the events
that can occur which will require assistance from this group in the communi-
ty. Basic training consisting of twenty hours of instruction and demonstra-
tion is required and there are sessions at the county level in which the mem-
bers take part. On-line classes are recommended for the members to enhance
their performance during events. The primary mission for this group is to
provide response to emergencies until professional first responders are avail-
able.
The second program is the Patrol Volunteer program that the Sheriff’s
Office supports. These individuals go through all of the security measures
such as fingerprinting, drug testing, polygraph testing, and background
checks. They wear uniforms and have access to CCSO patrol vehicles. The
primary function is to be the eyes and ears for the deputies and officers who
cannot be in Munds Park 24/7 due to the large area they patrol. The volun-
teers are not allowed to carry weapons nor respond to 911 calls because of
the potential for confrontation with criminals. They do patrol the community
and are on the alert for any suspicious activity which they would forward to
CCSO for deputy and officer response.
The next article will include a profile of the Munds Park Community
Church and the Pinewood Country Club which are positioned to provide
shelter during emergencies.
The next MPCW meeting will be on May 17th, 2017, 6:30pm, at the PFD
station. Invited guests include personnel from the sheriff’s office, Coconino
National Forest, and Public Works along with Supervisor Matt Ryan. There
is information for the program utilizing the Pinewood Property Owners’
Assoc. (PPOA) website www.pinewoodppoa.org and clicking on the MPCW
tab. The PPOA supports the MPCW program with funds to cover most of
the costs associated with the program

‘Difficult anduncongenial:’ theabominable Asturianmountain region
Vagabonding Lulu Travel WriterBy Stacey Wittig
Asturias, a narrow strip of land between the coast ofthe Bay of Biscay in the Atlantic Ocean and the abruptCantabrian Mountains of Northern Spain. Why was itthe only Christian holdout during the early Arab con-quest of Spain? According to historian Roger Collins, the Arabs found campaigning in the mountainous ter-rain “difficult and uncongenial.” (1)
And so, I ask myself, why am I planning on walkingCamino Primitivo which weaves through this abom-inable Asturian mountain region?
“… the country is essentially a mountainous one,and its inhabitants are famed for the typical obstinacyof a people of mountaineers,” describes John Harveyin his 1957 book, The Cathedrals of Spain.“Historically, Asturian pride in this quality is foundedupon the successful resistance of Pelayo to the
Moors.”
Don’t get this Pelayo mixed up with the Pelayo, who discovered the tomb of St James in NorthernSpain in 814. Pilgrimage to the tomb of the saint(called Santiago in Spanish) in the Middle Ages is thereason for so many ancient paths that network acrossEurope. The pilgrimage routes are known as Caminosde Santiago in Spain, Les Chemins de St Jacques inFrance or Jakobswegs in Germanic countries. “Pelayosare everywhere in Spanish history,” warned RebekahScott,* Camino advocate and historical fiction writer, when we chatted at the American Pilgrims on Caminogathering in Atlanta last week.
I was picking her brain for historical and culturalinformation to be used for a guide book revision pro-ject on which I am currently working. The project forthe Confraternity of St James in London is the reasonthat I am tackling the Camino Primitivo in May.
But back to Pelayo. The Kingdom of Asturiascame into being as a revolt against the Arabs in718/722. The revolt took place at Covadonga and wasled by Pelayo (Pelagius in Latin), who became the firstking of Asturias after the victorious battle. The suc-cessful revolt in the Asturias led to the formation ofwhat Collins calls “a tiny” Christian monarchy. (3)
The difficult and uncongenial mountainous terrainmarked the limits of the Arab expansion, and by thesecond half of the 8th Century, Asturias had become “a
frontierzone,”statesCollinsin hisbook,TheArab
Conquest of Spain: 710 – 797.
In 740 and 741-46, Berbers had revolted against theArabs and abandoned areas of occupation. The con-quest and flee created an uninhabited frontier that waseasier for the tiny kingdom to defend against theArabs. (4) The civil wars among the Arabs andBerbers triggered the rise of rival local powers, includ-ing the Christian kingdom in Asturias. (5)
Since I, too, am full of the typical obstinacy of apeople of mountaineers (I’ve lived near the mountaintown of Flagstaff, for 23 years and dwelled among ’emin Colorado for eleven years before that), perhaps Iwill withstand the “difficult and uncongenial” Asturianmountain terrain. What will be, will be.
Stacey “Vagabonding Lulu” Wittig leaves forSpain at the end of this month. If you see her hoistingher backpack around Munds Park, she is not avagabond, but is training for the “difficult and uncon-genial” Spanish mountains. Enjoy this article? Thensign up for updates at Stacey’s blog:

Spring is officially here, and it’s time to boost your health and happinesswith an edible garden. Gardening is relaxing, restorative and rewarding anda great way to bring the family together. If you are planning on a vegetablegarden this season – now is the time to start!
1. Type/Timing: Our short growing season in Flagstaff makes “cool seasonvegetables” the easiest to grow (spinach, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, Brusselsprouts, beets, carrots, radishes, pees, beets, parsnips, onions, garlic). These should be planted early from April – Mid May.
2. Location: Find a space that has plenty of direct sunlight. If you want toextend your growing season you can find a place that offers some after-noon shade. You can also incorporate your edible garden into your land-scaping and create some dramatic effects.
3. Composite Soil: Your soil needs to be composed of the proper
amounts of sand, soil, and organic materials to ensure that your plants
have the necessary nutrients and water to grow. Sand is necessary for
drainage, soil is necessary for the roots to grab hold, and organic material is
necessary to keep the soil rich with nutrients to feed your plants. I like to
add fish emulsion as an organic matter to keep the soil nutrient rich. The
fish emulsion is eaten by bacteria and the bacteria release the nutrients
back into the soil.
4. Planting: You can either seed directly into the ground or purchase
early starter plants at your local nursery. I like to seed directly. Mark the
placement of a row within your garden and then make a furrow at the cor-
rect depth along the row. Check out your seed packet instructions for spe-
cific planting instructions. Plant your seeds in groups of three (because we
never can tell how prolific our seeds may be) and plant each group 3 inches
apart. Cover the seeds with fine soil and firm them in. When the plants
have developed their second set of leaves thin them out to avoid over-
crowding.
5. Irrigation: Irrigation is key with new seedlings. In order for the seeds
to germinate they must remain moist. Set up a spray system valve with a
timer and water them several times a day. As the plant grows, change from
spray to flood.
Watching a plant grow from an apparently lifeless seed into a healthy,
productive plant is one of gardening’s greatest pleasures, and provides a
great sense of accomplishment! Happy Gardening!

Family Seder
By Annie Weissman
Today I’m starting The Big Push, as we called it when mymother would start her preparations for a big gathering.Monday, April 10, is the first night of Passover. It’s observed ata seder, a special dinner. For the first time in quite a while I’llhave all my children and their families here. My newest grand-daughter, Madison, was a preemie, and not allowed to go intosociety until after the RSV season was over. We missed cele-brating my and Eric’s birthdays, so Shelley is bringing a cakefor dessert.
The first thing was to plan the menu, which I did while listen-ing to the Phoenix Symphonyplay Beethoven’s Ninth andOde to Joy last Sunday withfriends. I decided on matzoball soup, brisket in the crockpot, asparagus, peas (for thegrandkids,) and baked potatoesand sweet potatoes. I also hadto get the items for the sederplate: hardboiled eggs as theharbinger of spring, morar, horseradish, as the bitter herbto symbolize the bitterness of
the slavery of the Jews in Egypt, ingredients for the charoset(apples, chopped nuts, grape and orange juices, sugar, cinnamonand honey) to stand in for the mortar the slaves used to build forthe Pharaoh, and karpas, parsley, to remind us of the hard andcruel work the slaves did. And a separate plate of three matzos.
I also must get a few bottles of wine. The traditional sedercalls for at least six glasses, but we take sips instead of downingthe whole glass. My mother always served Manishevitz, but I’mopting for Ménage a Trois red blend.
My housecleaner comes on Mondays, so I decided to do allthe cooking over the weekend so she could do the final clean upbefore the family came.
Only my son Max and I are Jewish, but the family enjoys thetraditions I’ve shared with them. There’s a book the Hagaddah, which is used during a seder to tell the story of Exodus, thestory of Passover. We use a children’s Hagaddah to get the gistof the holiday without boring the pants off my young grandchil-dren. All kids like the end of the meal the best. Right after webegin to eat, I hide a piece of matzo. In order to end the meal, the piece must be found. The oldest adult, or host or hostess, offers a monetary reward and the kids whoop and holler untilthey find it.

What is going on with rates?
Interest rates are at a three year high and every week seems to be increasing.
Well, overall interest rates are on the upswing. But, historically they are not as
high as even ten years ago (2007). Whenever the Federal Reserve meets and the
news reports state “the Feds raised rates .25%”, this doesn’t have a direct corre-
spondence on mortgage rates. The Federal Reserve increases effect auto loan
rates, credit card rates, HELOC Rates with prime rates and interest you make on
your savings accounts. However, when the Feds do raise rates, this shows signs of
inflation and the economy improving. With this, the trickle down is mortgage
rates also will increase.
In today’s market there are no more pre payment penalties on mortgage loans.
The mortgage rate cycle is usually seven years. Rates go up and then they come
down. With increasing rates offer an opportunity to refinance the mortgage down
the line. Of course it would have to make sense (i.e. how long are you going to
live in the home, costs of refinance and savings).
If you are in the market to purchase a home, I wouldn’t fret over the interest
rates. But, focus more on the perfect home.
Thank you,
Jeremy Schachter

New Emergency Generator
For The Fire Department
By John Welsch, Fire Chief, PFD
The Pinewood Fire Department has recently completed the purchase
and installation of a new emergency electric generator for the fire sta-
tion. This generator is a replacement for an aging unit that has become
so unreliable that we are unable to power even a small portion of the
station during power outages, thereby making it difficult to operate dur-
ing these times of extreme weather conditions.
With a rated capacity of 135,000 Watts, the new generator will provide
ample power to allow the Pinewood Fire Department to power the
whole station and provide an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for in-
cident coordination during any extended power outage, as well as be-
coming a backup shelter for residents during those same emergencies.
Additionally, this new generator will allow flexibility in providing power
to future station improvements and growth.
Funding for the total purchase and install costs of the unit were through
a grant from a private foundation, our own Pinewood Fire Department
Auxiliary , and a private donation from one of our community residents.
These very generous contributions allowed our department to purchase
this much needed piece of equipment without diverting taxpayer funds
away from our operational expenses and ensuring the continued ability
to meet community emergency response needs.
Once again, through some creative writing and application for support,
and the good will of the citizens of Munds Park, our fire department and
community become a safer and better place!

Pinewood Fire Department, here are just a few items that we were able to
purchase because of your support. An icemaker, dishwasher, refrigerators,

We sadly say goodbye to Rob and Kathy Dale, longtime residents of
Munds Park. Rob and Kathy have lived here full time for 17 years but
now have to go back to the valley for a business opportunity for Rob.
They graciously gave their time in the past as Santa and Mrs. Claus. Rob
was a golf Champion at the country club and he also serviced many
businesses and homes at any hour of the day with his former business
when they needed his help with flooding and other issues. Rob’s parents
built their first cabin in 1971, so he literally grew up in our community.
There was a gathering of friends to bid the Dale’s a fond farewell and say
our goodbyes. We wish them the very best and hope they return to visit,
especially in the summer when they may need a break from the valley
heat.

MUNDS PARK COMMUNITY CHURCH UPDATE
by Mike Simswww.mundsparkcc.org
Easter
John 3:16 – For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life.
Ever stop to think that we are on an
eternal journey. God created us. He
gives each person an opportunity to
freely choose whether to follow
Christ as our Savior. As Christians,
we know that we are going to follow
our journey with Christ right into
Heaven. Christ did not promise us
an easy life, but assures us he will be
with us through the ups and downs of
life.
The Bible is our road map. When I
am in the forest, I have a map. When
I'm confused about life, I check my
Biblical road map.
Please join the Munds Park Commu-
nity Church this Easter season and
praise our wonderful Savior for his
promise to all people who accept him
as their Lord and Savior.
Worship services begin at 10:30 am
each Sunday morning.

us for a service on Friday evening,

pm on Mondays in the fellowship
hall at the church.
Women's Fall Retreat: Next Sep-
tember 13th through 15th, the ladies
are planning a retreat in the White
Mountains at Lakeside. Cynthia
Heald will be the guest speaker, so
mark your calendars now!!! More in-
formation will follow in coming is-
sues of the Pinewood News.
ONGOING AT MPCC
On the first Sunday of each month
the church offers Communion to
all who have accepted Jesus Christ
as their personal Lord and Savior.
This is an open Communion, which
means you do not have to be a mem-
ber of the church to participate.
The second Sunday of each month
is potluck Sunday. Everyone is in-
vited whether you bring food or not.
This is a great time to meet people in
a casual environment, make new
friends and enjoy good food. The
potluck follows the 10:30 am Sunday
service.
MPCC/WILDFLOWER BREAD
MINISTRY.
On Thursday mornings, with the ex-
ception of the first Thursday of each
month, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in
the church fellowship hall, Munds
Park residents can pick up bakery
goods for themselves and others. As
a community outreach, we ask that
you also pick up some bakery goods
for a neighbor who cannot attend.
WHO ARE WE?
We are an independent, non-denomi-
national church, which means that re-
gardless of your denominational
background you are welcome to at-
tend and worship with us on Sunday
mornings at 10:30 am. Adult and
children's Sunday school begins at
8:30 am Sunday mornings.
YOU ARE CORDIALLY
INVITED
