Trinity’s Annual Parish Meeting Sunday, January 27, 2019 – 10 am
We will have one service only this Sunday as we join parishioners of all three services together for our annual meeting. The service will be at 10:00 am followed immediately by the Parish meeting and Trinity Corporation meeting. The purpose of these meetings is to receive written reports from 2018 and elect new members to the Vestry and Trustees. This year we will be electing four (4) people to serve on the Vestry for a three (3) year term, one (1) person to serve as a Trustee for a five (5) year term. Those nominated for the Vestry are: Mary White, Will Jangaard, Katherine Goebel, Jake Berry, Kathryn Keith, and Gil Self; and as a Trustee: Paul Wallace. Our church canons and by-laws require that “members of the vestry must be parishioners sixteen (16) years of age or older who are communicants in good standing and who are regular financial contributors to the parish.” Likewise, a “communicant in good standing” is defined as one who is known to the rector and wardens, is a financial giver of record, and has received Holy Communion at least three (3) times over the course of a year. We hold our Trustees to meet the same requirements. Our by-laws also require that one year lapse before a former member of the vestry who has served a full term can be re-elected. Nominations from the floor will be allowed at the meeting on Jan. 27, with the knowledge that anyone nominated from the floor must give their consent and must meet all eligibility requirements. If no nominations are received from the floor, we will proceed with the election. Please feel free to contact me, or one of the Wardens, should you have any questions. I look forward to gathering with you at our annual meeting this Sunday. Please plan to stay after the meeting and support our EYC as they serve lunch as part of their Enchilada Extravaganza fund raising event. Fr. Andy+
Here are some brief bios on those running for Vestry: Mary White: Tom and I have been members of Trinity for over twenty-five years where I have been both a trustee and a member of the vestry. I have been involved with The St. Francis Project since it started. I am on altar guild, a sporadic member of the Tuesday Reunion group, Wednesday Book group and a counter with Tim Taylor. Will Jangaard: My wife, Rebecca, and I have been attending Trinity since May of 2016 and we regularly attend the 10:30 service. I was confirmed at Trinity on January 29, 2017. I attended Cursillo 209 in September of 2017 and served on the Cursillo 215 staff in October of 2018. I am grateful for the fellowship at Trinity and the opportunities to serve God and our community through projects including St. Francis Faire, community meals, and Lenten lunches. Currently, I am involved with the Episcopal Young Adult group, and I serve on the St. Francis Project board.

Children’s Ministry This summer we will have our regular Monday Summer Series offering from 8:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. for children 18 months - 11 years old with aftercare from 2:00-4:00 p.m. available for children 4 -11 yrs old. In addition to this we will have a separate Friday program. This will be more limited as it is our first year for this and we want to see how it goes, how it might be utilized and if it is something that our Parish wants. The registration for Summer Series Mondays and Fridays should be available on February 1. As has been the case in the past we will take children until we are full in that age range. Once we fill up in a class we are happy to add children to the waiting list. Last year we had several children on the waiting list that ended up in the program due to the normal last minute shuffling. The theme for this year is the Beatitudes and we will be exploring that theme on both Mondays and Fridays. We will be looking for workers for Summer Series over the next few months so if you know a college student looking for summer work please send them my way!

Club 456 Lock In Over the last month we have had two great events for our Club 456 groups and our
K-3 group. We had 27 children for the Club 456 lock in in December and 14 children
for the K-3 lock-in.
Our Club 456 lock-in has been very successful over the years and it was great to
expand that idea for our K-3 group. Thanks to everyone that made them successful.
Tamira, Dan Simon and Jessie chaperoned the events and led programming.

Winter Weekend Winter weekend was an absolute blast. Trinity sent a dozen kids to
this fantastic event for 7th and 8th grade youth. On top of the always
fun camp activities like soccer, arts and crafts, and hikes, the youth
were treated to a wonderful program led by our own Rev. Callie
Plunket-Brewton assisted by our Youth Director Simon. The program
theme for the weekend was "Being the Jesus movement. Living the
Way of Love."
