TRINITY CREATIVES — WORSHIP WITH MANY EXPRESSIONS FOR ONE GOD.
What’s happened September was an exciting and productive month. The creatives prepared beautiful music for the worship ex-perience in our services.
The adult choir offered powerful and moving presentations of “Be Still My Soul” and “My Shepherd Will Sup-ply My Need.”
The men’s chorus, handbells, and the band presented the song, “Amazing Grace, My Chains are Gone,” as an awe-inspiring celebration of God’s grace! Thank you for the many people that gave their talent to offer this powerful expression of worship. I commend Tom Buck for his leadership.
The children’s choir, Joyful Noise, delighted our hearts when they opened our service with “This is the Day!” It is an incredible experience for our children to lead us in worship. “Bravo” to Cindy Westberry for her work with the children.
Congratulations to a fabulous group of creatives—I am deeply honored to lead these amazing, dedicated peo-ple!
Behind the Scenes Let me share with you three operational items behind the scenes. First, we have worked on and received ap-proval for an in ear audio monitor system for the worship musicians. The system should be installed by early November. In the meantime, the band is hard at work building a repertoire and serving in various music selec-tions. Second, we launched an online worship planning platform, Planning Center Online. It enables me to upload music and recordings so that the musicians and singers have access to resources in their preparation. The technology provides an efficient and consistent avenue for communication and planning. Third, the youth choir rehearsals began in September, and they are working toward upcoming music, which you will hear soon.
What’s next We are excited about this season—much is in store. In the upcoming weeks, we will worship and celebrate to-gether with beautiful music and many expressions for one God!
October’s ministry focus is on generosity. We are preparing a presentation from the creative’s department. We are also working on beautiful songs that feature the choir and the youth, soloists, instrumentalists, and the band. Our children will soon return to minister as well.
November is the month of Thanksgiving. On November 24, we will celebrate God’s goodness with a special offertory from the handbells.
Advent Season begins December 1, and the creatives launch the celebration with the beautiful presentation of the song, “Hope of Your Coming.”
December 15 is our Christmas Cantata: A Celtic Christmas Celebration, “Have You Heard.” Mark your calen-dar for this vibrant and inspiring presentation of Christ’s birth! Our cantata features the choir, youth, chil-dren’s choir, our musicians, band, and guest instrumentalists. Invite your friends, neighbors, and family to celebrate with us.
December 24, our Christmas Eve service, is a cherished part of our Christmas season. The handbells, choir, musicians, and soloists will lead us in a moving worship experience.
Every week we are adding more people to the team, and we want you to be a part. With Christmas fast ap-proaching, we invite you to join us for the Advent and holiday season. If you are a vocalist, instrumentalist, spoken word presenter, artist, or someone who loves the arts and worship, there is a place for you with the creatives! We have flexible rehearsal schedules and online resources—everything you need to be successful.

Dear Trinity Family: What a treacherous road Patty has traveled for the past nine months, fighting each and every day to beat cancer. On August 30, she lost this battle. The family mourns our loss but knowing she is no longer suffering and is in the loving arms of God gives us joy. This treacherous journey was much more toler-able knowing our Trinity family was there for us. We cannot express enough our gratitude for all the support you have given. Above is a blueprint for our second base! As many of you know, our ministry hinges upon the verse in Isaiah 56:7 that says, "My house will be a House of Prayer for all peo-ple." We know that Jesus is worth every nation and every tongue, and one day, a multitude of people will gather before the Lamb! It is this verse that inspires our aim to reach the 900 unreached people groups by training and launching out 4,500 missionaries! The recent land purchase in Isiolo, Kenya, is just one of our objectives in our five-year-goal! Praise God we are already at this point only a few years into our plan! The Great Commission is His idea, and we are just saying yes to His heart! With this new base, we can take in more students at our Training School, as well as have a Prayer House in such a strategic area in Africa. It is gripping to know that soon, the prayers of the saints will rise like incense in such a spiritually dark place! We will begin the building in three phases, and plans are advancing to start the first phase soon, which includes the wall and fencing and drilling a well! CVS FLU SHOT CLINIC
For your convenience, Alana Stamper, a pharmacist with CVS, will be in Room
F from 8:30 am to noon on Sunday, October 13, 2019. She will be offering flu
shots to those 18 years and older. Just bring your health insurance card. You
will need to stay for 10 minutes after your vaccination to make sure there are

Jesus Loves Me Three thousand miles away is a community with many differences from Pensacola, but many similarities, too. Trinity’s Living Waters for the World (LWW) team recently
learned some of those differences during our installation in Jicamarca, but singing ”Christo Me Ama” together reminded us of the most important realization for us all – Jesus loves us.
We were richly blessed to have represented His love in this challenged area of South Amer-
ica. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. When we went to LWW training in Mississippi in April of 2018, we were put into
three groups – 101’s, 102’s, and 103’s. Here is a short summary of our related experiences. During this installation visit, the 103’s took charge. Blase Butts, Jim Patteson, and
Charlie Gilroy had the responsibility of training three “operators” to understand, construct,
and operate the system that would change the bacteria-laden water of this community into safe drinking water. These three will train others who were unable to attend all the ses-
sions. Fortunately, for us, we partnered with “Reimagine Peru,” which is a Christian minis-try there with a building that had a perfect place for our “water room.” Despite some “pebbles” thrown our way, the
system successfully produced the pure water we used for the celebration Saturday. John Baehr, our 101 leader, oversaw the Water Committee, which was made of eight community members
who earlier volunteered to steer the efforts toward a sustainable business. We missed our other 101 leader, Carol
Gilroy, whose doctor advised her not to travel for such an extended time in a foreign country, but her many efforts to organize this mission paid off. John was able to coordinate meetings to make important decisions, but he learned
more than he cared to about “Peruvian time.” The 102’s were the educators who were tasked with training six volunteers to be teachers of how to use this
pure water and how to keep germs out of their mouths. Beverly Patteson and Sarah Andrasik taught for four days
using spiritual, health, and hygiene lessons, complete with songs, skits, experiments, and demonstrations. Thanks to assistance from children and parents from Trinity’s Vacation Bible School,(VBS), plus the time and talents of our Pres-
byterian Women, the lessons were enjoyable and beneficial. The curriculum and many materials were left in Ji-camarca to continue this important teaching for years to come.
Although our mission was to help Jicamarca have safe drinking water, the living water that God provided
filled our hearts and minds with the power of His love. Indeed, Jesus loves us. Written by Beverly Patteson

WHY SHOULD WE GIVE?
Here are some reasons from the Bible:
Giving Puts God First: Genesis 4:3-5 records the first mention of offerings to God when Cain and Abel
presented fruits of the soil and livestock. Embedded in the first five books of the Bible are instructions
that tell the Israelites to put God first with financial giving and that God measures generosity by people’s
willingness to give an appropriate percentage, not by the amount they give. Mark 12:41-44: Jesus said
that the large amount the rich gave was not as much as the fraction of a penny a poor widow gave. “She
gave out of her poverty.”
Giving Worships God: In 25 places the Bible equates giving to God with worshipping God. The offer-
ing is as important a part of worship as prayer, music, scripture and preaching. Exodus 23:15 reports God
saying that during the three Israelite festivals, “Never come to worship me without bringing an offering.”
Jesus came with the good news that God seeks each of us to put God first in our lives and promises posi-
tive benefits from such a focus.
Giving Expresses Thankfulness to God for both spiritual blessings and material affluence: 2 Corin-
thians 9:12-14: Paul says that giving expresses thankfulness to God. Deuteronomy 8:17-18: “Remember
the Lord your God for it is He who gives you power to get wealth.”
Giving Acts as God’s Steward: The words steward, stewards and stewardship appear 27 times in the
Bible. Paul says that God entrusts the steward with transmission of the gospel message and it is every
Christian’s responsibility. Our stewardship is not just money but extending the Good News of Jesus
Christ to others in the world. Christian stewardship uses the life God gave us for God’s purposes. If we
give ourselves to God then it’s God’s time, talent and money that we manage.
Giving Supports God’s Long Range Goals: New Testament authors remind Christians that their giv-
ing is not directed toward accomplishing their personal goals but for achieving God’s goals. Time, talent
and money given to God never quits having an impact. We may see its beginning and middle, but never
its end.
Giving Motivates Others to Put God First: Throughout the Bible are illustrations that positive behav-
ior increases the likelihood of positive behavior by other people.
Giving To God Must Include Helping People in Need: Deuteronomy 26:12 instructs every Israelite to
give a tenth of their crops to the Levites, fatherless and widow so all will have enough to eat. Proverbs
19:17: “Give to the poor.”
Giving Must Include Right Living: Jesus is not satisfied with half a person. Micah 6:6-8: God says
that he finds little value in the calves people burn as offerings to him. What God “requires of us is this:
to do what is just, to show constant love and to live in humble fellowship with God.”
