Texshare Cards

Students at Ranger College may also borrow materials from other

Texas libraries through the TexShare program.

TexShare is a FREE program.

Ask for a card at the Library Circulation Desk.

Students at other Ranger College locations should call

their campus director.

What types of materials may be borrowed? Fiction Non-Fiction DVD/Videos

Items that stay may not be borrowed include: Reference items (like certain encyclopedias) Newspapers Magazines

*Students may use the copier At no charge.

Books may be borrowed for 2 weeks. DVDs are borrowed for 1 week. Call (254) 647-1414 or email

cbeltran@rangercollege.edu if you need to renew.

The library staff can also place an Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request for items

we do not own. Please call the main campus for assistance, (254)647-1414

Staff will also take suggestions for new library items.

Loan Periods

We do not charge late fees for books or movies.

However, if a book is LOST or DAMAGED, you may have to pay to replace the item.

No Overdue fines!

Golemon Library uses an online catalog to “look-up” books that we own.

Ask the library staff if you need help looking up a title.

Understanding LC Call Numbers

Each item in the library (books, journals, movies, etc.) has a unique call number.  The call number label is found on the front or side (spine)of an item and also is shown in Spectrum, the online library catalog.    

Library of Congress (LC) call numbers are used by most academic and research libraries (including Ranger College).

LC call numbers begin with letters of the English alphabet.
