Spring Fair 2017
Saturday 11 November
MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL Our BIG day is almost upon us! Many months of preparation and hard work have gone into getting us to this point and with only one week to go the finishing touches are being put in place. At this time, we would like to call out to anyone who is still to volunteer to do so and help us make this the BEST ever Spring Fair. Please get involved! Over the last couple of weeks, we have held a classroom chocolate block drive and hamper collection. Thanks to your generosity over 600 items have been collected for the Chocolate Coin Toss stall, as well as an amazing range of items for our silent auction hampers. These and other great items are up for grabs in our MASSIVE silent auction, so make sure you visit the gym and place a bid to take home some of the goodies!
We have finished our collection of toys and books for the Pre-Loved stall and the art room is being transformed into a student art gallery! Maybe you could do some early Christmas shopping at some of the 50 Market stalls on the oval or buy a plant for a gift or home. The rides and entertainment are booked. The stage on the oval will be home to a range of entertainment throughout the day with student performances and the traditional student and staff taiko drumming acts. This year be sure to look out for the giant dinosaur roaming around the school and on stage between 12.30-3pm. The talented local community band of Bec Leslie and the Cover Council will play sets throughout the afternoon and evening. All types of food and drink will be available (including Devonshire tea) and of course we will provide both lunch and dinner options as the fair is from 12-7pm. We look forward to inviting the wider community into our school and having a wonderful event that shows off what our Warranwood spirit is all about. Thank you to everyone who has been working so hard to make this day a great success. Our students, teachers and community acknowledge your commitment to improving our school env i ronment and s tudent learn ing resources. See you all at the fair! Shane Harrop Acting Principal
