Prerequisites for transporting

TMS should be configured.Check transport directory space.While configuring TMS system configures tp with necessary

parameters.this configuration is saved in file TP_<domain>.PFL path \usr\sap\trans\bin\ Tp actions are saved in \usr\sap\trans\log\ALOG.

this file contains all entries of transport requests. \usr\sap\trans\log\SLOG. this file contains starting

time,ending time and tp steps with time duration.

\usr\sap\trans\log\ULOG<year>_<number> this lists every tp request with os user.

exporting of transport requests.

Go to se09 select your request release directly(F9) now tp handles this request it creates two files at os leves at \usr\sap\trans\data and \usr\sap\trans\control for this request now tp exports our request to transport

directory.now this will be added to buffer of qas.

If there is any errors while exporting you can see at transport log,at os level,at system log also.

importing

object is at os level

when you click on import tp activated with r3trans

tp triggers RDDIMPDP program by sending event to SAP_TRIGGER_RDDIMPDP with the help of sapevt program.

now tp and this background job writes temperory data to TRBAT table regards steps to be performed for request

after this again RDDIMPDP and some back ground jobs RDD* reads data from TRBAT writes to sap level.the job id’s of RDD* jobs will be stored in TRJOB table.you can see status of RDD* jobs here.
