rate of greater than or equal to 10%

How is it calculated?Numerator

• # of period absencesDenominator

• 8 periods per day x # days enrolled

Example: John has 20 period absences and has been enrolled at Del Rio HS for 30 days.

20 /(8 periods x 30) = 12%.... he would be flagged

Assumptions and Thresholds• Behind 9th Grade Cohort• Behind in Credits (Grades 9-12)

• Course Failures– Failing grade is set to < 70– Core and non-core courses are defined by the campuses

Hands-On Training

Adding SchoolViz as a Trusted Site

You must add https://reveal.schoolviz.org as a trusted site and adjust your browser settings (Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher)

• Select Tools Internet Options• Select Security Tab Trusted Sites Sites• In the Add this website to the zone field, the SchoolViz

website should automatically be populated. Select Add, then select Close

• Under security level for this zone, click and drag the adjuster bar down to low. Click Apply then Ok.

• This must be done on any PC from which you choose to view the Reveal DWS application.

User ID = email address

Password – assigned by Region 10
