THE COG - RCM Meeting 1660 Bulletin 21 February 2018
From the President: 19/02/2018
On Tuesday 13th February the Rotary Club of Morialta (RCM) held its monthly Board meeting at the Community Shed.
Comprehensive reports were given by Officers and Directors against the RCM Strategic Plan 2017 – 2018. Apology was
received from Youth Director, Sabrina Koetsier, who sent an update on the work of her Committee. There were many
topics for discussion including the progress of the PNG Project, Group 7 meeting of Club Presidents with the Assistant
Governor due 22nd February, Change Over Dinner venue options, training for the Board on Electronic File Storage for
Club records, update on options for potential new members and alumni function and progress on recording of
volunteer hours by club members to name but a few. Updated Financial Reports for January 2018 and year to date
were received which show that currently the Club is in a healthy financial position and on target with the annual
budget.
All members are reminded that a copy of the minutes of the meeting are available by contacting the Club Secretary,
Tim Mee.
Unfortunately, due to a number of factors, Committees were not able to meet on Wednesday night as scheduled
however those Directors present gave informative updates on progress and future events. On the night the Club
welcomed Coralie Summers, wife of PP Brenton Summers to the meeting.
Several members attended on behalf of the RCM, the public meeting held on 15th February, at the Campbelltown
Council, regarding the proposed Miniature Railway for Thorndon Park. A report of that meeting will be presented on
Wednesday night.
Looking forward to the meeting this week and to hear Peter Christopher speak about the Clipper Ship City of Adelaide.
Hope to see you there.

the 'One & All.' The inaugural February twilight cruise proved very popular and booked out quickly, leaving many people disappointed.
We are very happy to announce that another social cruise has been organised on Sunday, March 4th 2018, departing from Port Adelaide at 10:00 am and returning at 3:00 pm. The Day Sail includes delicious on board catering, tea, coffee and cool drinks as we cruise around the Gulf! The cost will be $100 per head, dependent on our filling the ship, which can carry 40 passengers.
Positions on this cruise are now on sale to all Rotarians and their friends.
Please distribute this information around your Club and in your Bulletin. This is an ideal Club social event and you will be supporting an exciting new Rotary Youth program. Book promptly to avoid disappointment! Link to bookings
