1. This document indicates the attention point at the time of installation of POS JS-960WS,and the point is also need to attention in a maintenance.

2. Please read and refer the Operating Instruction when installing the JS-960WS series.

3. This guide is for person has the knowledge of installation, repair, and a maintenance. Moreover, the object of this document is for JS-960WS which staging work has completed.

Step 1. Remove Rear Cover

Lay down the JS-960WS as shown in a figure. Do not give a shock. Slide the lock levers of the rear cover in the bottom.

Step 2. Remove Rear Cover

Stand JS-960WS. Do not give a shock.

(1) Slide upward a Rear Cover as shown in a figure and remove.

Step 3. Remove Cable Cover

Push and hold the button on both sides on a Cable Cover with both hands and lift up the cover.

Step 4. Release Cable Guide

(1) Slide the cable guide to the right(2) Slide up the cable guide

Step 5. Customer Display

Unplug the customer display and the power cables.

Open the Customer Display as figure above.

Step 7. Order of Cabling

(1) Plug the cable of the customer display, then (2) Plug the cable to COM2

Step 8. Order of Cabling

(3) Plug the External Monitor Cable to DVI-I port for the 2nd Display Unit ( JS-960SD-010 )

(4) Re-plug a Power Cable to DC IN

(5) Plug a Parallel Cable to Parallel Port.

Step 11. Order of Cabling

(6) Plug a COM Cable for COM1 port(7) Plug a Cash Drawer 3 (for JS-170CD) cable to CD3 port.

If the Cash Drawer is not Panasonic JS-170CD, please plug to CD1/2 port.

Step 12. Order of Cabling

(8) Plug a LAN cable to LAN port. (9) Plug a COM3 cable to COM3 port. (COM3 is used for a external display)

Step 13. Storing Cables

1) Store all cables inside of both hinges.

(1) Store cables in this line.

Step 14. Storing Cables

Push a core of the DVI cable as not interfere the cable-cover.

Step 15. Storing Cables

Store cables like a photograph.(Keep cables not overflow)

Step 16. Store Cable Guide

Return to home position of the Cable Guide(1) Push down the cable guide (2) slide to the left until lock

Step 17. Close Cable Cover

(1)Hold the cable cover with both hands, (2)Push in downward until it is locked.

Step 18. Check Closing of Cable Cover

Check if the cable cover is firmly mounted without any gap as shown in a figure.

Step 19. Organize Cables on Rear Side

(1) Store Cables to not cross each other as a picture above.(2) Close the Customer Display

Step 20. Re-assemble Rear Cover

(1) Slide down a rear cover as shown in a figure

Step 21. Re-assemble Rear Cover

The lock lever of a rear cover

Lay down the JS-960WS as shown in a figure. Do not give a shock. Slide the lock levers of the rear cover in the bottom.

Step 22. Cabling of Bottom Side

Wire cables as shown in the figure above. Do not wire cross-over.
