Peristaltic (Hose) PumpL Series Low Pressure PumpsH Series High Pressure Pumps
2 Peristaltic Pump
Simply PerfectSimple in design but the perfect solution for your pumping applications.
Why use high maintenance pumps like progressive cavity, rotary lobe, and other positive displacement pumps when you can use the ARO peristaltic pump? These pumps provide the following benefits over other types of pumps:
Simply safe
Only the hose contacts the fluid, reducing the
risk of failure do to material selection
Hose is contained in a housing that has an optional
leak detector to prevent environmental contamination
Can run dry without damage
Low sound level: less than 70 dB at 1 meter
ATEX versions available
Simply designed
Pressures up to 15 bar
Flow rates up to 88m3/h
Ease of maintenance, low cost of ownership
Electric operation (enhanced efficiency)
Easy to clean with minimal disassembly
Maintain in place (reduced downtime)
Seal-less design with no packings or seals to replace
Hose is the only wearing part
Reversible rotation ideal for emptying lines or
removing blockages
Excellent solids handling capability
Up to 10% sludge handling capability
Up to 80% solids handling capability

For over eighty years, the ARO Fluid Products business of Ingersoll Rand has developed partnerships with original equipment manufacturers and distributors, enabling us to better focus on the unique pumping needs of many industries. It’s a strategic merger of application expertise, along with our decades-long legacy of designing and building outstanding positive displacement pumps.
4 Peristaltic Pump
Principle of operation
Two rollers mounted at 180° on a rotor compress alternatively a thick-walled hose in a concentric guide and push the pumped liquid from the suction to the discharge side. Roller movement compresses the hose along the casing wall and creates constant vaccuum at the suction side of the pump. In this way, liquids are conveyed within the hose and do not contact any metal part.
Phase 1
The pump hose is compressed successively by two pressing rollers assembled on a rotating wheel. The first roller, by pressing the walls of the hose, will create a vacuum and attract the pumped liquid into the hose.
Phase 2
The pumped liquid has now entered the hose. The second roller will compress the hose and push the liquid towards the pump outlet.
Phase 3
When the roller at the discharge side is detached from the hose, the other roller diametrically opposite is already in compression preventing an internal product reversal. The pumped product is then successively pulled in and pushed out due to the wheel rotation.

Peristaltic Pump 5
Principle of operation
Two shoes mounted at 180° on a rotor compress alternately a reinforced rubber hose that contains a fluid to be pumped. The compression of the hose by the rotating shoes creates continuous suction at the inlet of the pump and pushes the fluid to the outlet of the pump. The pump casing contains a lubricant that reduces friction and insures the best pump performance with a minimum of maintenance. The pumped fluid is in contact only with the interior of the rubber hose, thus permitting the pumping of a wide variety of reactive fluids.
Phase 1
The pump hose is compressed successively by two pressing shoes assembled on a rotating wheel. The first shoe, by pressing the walls of the hose, will create a vacuum and attract the pumped liquid into the hose.
Phase 2
The pumped liquid has now entered the hose. The second shoe will compress the hose and push the liquid towards the pump outlet.
Phase 3
When the shoe at the discharge side is detached from the hose, the other shoe diametrically opposite is already in compression thus avoiding an internal product reversal. The pumped product is then successively pulled in and pushed out due to the wheel rotation.
H Series (High Pressure) ARO H Series Designed to pump, meter and dose liquids other pumps avoid. These pumps will handle fluids of low or high viscosity, pasty, pure, neutral, aggressive or abrasive liquids, those containing gases or frothy or those containing solids.

6 Peristaltic Pump
ARO hose lubricant is specifically designed to effectively
lubricate the H Series hoses and shoes to keep your pump running
efficiently. In addition to lubricating, it dissipates the heat away
from the hose allowing it to operate cooler. It is specifically
formulated to provide maximum life for your hose and pumps.
To ensure long life and operating efficiency use genuine ARO
hose lubricant in your ARO H series pumps. It can also be used in
competitive pumps to provide the best solution. Contact your ARO
fluid products representative to get the best lubricant available.
Hoses and Lubricants
ARO H Series Hose ConstructionARO uses high quality compounded rubbers, reinforced with 2 to 6 individual layers of braided polyamide, combined with an outer layer made to strict tolerances to ensure perfect compression. The design of ARO hoses, enable them to last up to 30% longer than other hoses on the market. ARO hoses are designed to fit most major hose pumps, making them the perfect replacement. ARO hoses can reduce costs and provided extended mean time between failures when replacing competitive brands.
Inner liner – avialable in a variety of materials to ensure optimum life and compatibility
Reinforcement layers (2 to 6) – provide excellent hose life and ultimate performance
Cover – provides excellent chemical resistance and superior wear
Stripe – color coded to ease material identification
