PATENT PENDING

GRDXKN®

is a textile printing technology, which enables a two- dimensional material to become three-dimensional in parts. Textiles, which have been reinforced with this technical colour print, are at the same time lightweight and sturdy, flexible and abrasion resistant.

The former purely decorative colour print becomes a functional, architectural structure.

THE CORRELATION OF PATTERN AND SHAPE

The characteristic surface implies the design’s secret.

What we perceive as an imprint is the functional core of

the concept.

The printed combs in an elaborate pattern are arranged

on the inside, they create a unique surface, support the

shape and protect its content.

example of inside comb pattern, printed and activated

The uniqly designed pattern can be tailored to fit the final

object.

The print has properties exceeding a usual material

available by the meter. The pattern can be individually

created to define and shape specific areas.

AESTHETICS

This technology blurs the lines between function and

look, creating a very aesthetic appearance whilst

combining rigidity and flexibility when needed.

GRDXKN®

Based on the 2D screen-printing technology GRDXKN®

can interact with many different textiles. The water based

technical material is solvent-free and, when activated, be-

comes a flexible PU foam with a non-slip character. The 3D

effect on the surface depends on each textile ‘base’, but

also on the pattern and the thickness of the foam. GRDXKN®

meets the requirements of the Ökotex 100 Standard and is

ecological certifiable.

For perfect costumer requirements foam prints and textiles

have to be tested for every individual product development.
