FROM THE PASTOR
“Fourth Sunday of Easter”
My Dear Brothers and Sisters our Easter celebrations take a dramatic turn today in our readings. In the Acts of the Apostles Paulnow moves to the forefront of our readings from Acts. These readings begin to show that the message of Christ is to be proclaimedto all people. No longer is the message in the Acts aimed at the Jews but now it is to be preached to the Gentiles.
In the Book of Revelation John shows that the disciples who will stand before the throne of God would be of: “every nation, race, people and tongue.” The mission of the Church is revealed as reaching out to every person and making Jesus known to them. Inthe Gospel Jesus says: ‘My sheep hear my voice; I know them and they follow me”. As we continue our Easter celebration we are reminded that we like the Apostles and early disciples must make It our life’s missionto make Jesus known to everyone we meet. We do this by living our lives as Catholic Christians. All our actions and behavior mustreflect the presence of Jesus in our hearts, in our minds and in our lives.
Congratulations to our Newly Confirmed We were blessed last Saturday night as Archbishop Bernard Hebda confirmed 19 our young adults.
