• Orange County Administrative Regulation 8.12 governs use of County facilities
• County facilities can be used by the public on a “cost use” basis if– Facility is open and available– Space can accommodate the desired use– Not illegal or immoral activity
• Facility can be used at no cost if the use will not require any additional or unscheduled janitorial, security, or staffing services.

FACILITY RENTAL POLICIES
• Departments/Divisions having jurisdiction over facilities which lend themselves to use by the public are required to establish and set use policies and cost schedules.
• Policies and cost schedules are required to be uniformly applied .
• Rental Charge
– $25 per hour for each of the first 4
hours
– $10 per hour for each additional hour
– $50 refundable deposit
– Proof of insurance

RENTAL FEE WAIVER
Criteria to consider fee waiver:
– Federal Tax Exempt Non-profit status (501C3)
– Non fundraising activity
– Positive community interest and open to the general public at no cost
