Twodistributionsweresetupinareaswheretheneedwasgreat-St.PeterCatholicChurchinWorthingtonandWestgateParkintheHilltoparea.Families,whopre-registered,receivedboxeswithathree-daysupplyofnon-perishablefooditemsincludingsoup,spaghettisauce,pasta,peanutbutterandcannedfruitsandvegetables.Therewerealsotwotruckloadsoffreshproduceonhandthatfamiliescouldchoosefrom. Inadditiontothesespecialdistributions,theSullivantAve.,CaldwellandFairfieldCountyfoodpantrieshavebeenhostingfamersmarketswherefamiliescangetfreshproducetosupplementthefoodtheyreceivefromthepantry.Sofarthissummer,theproducehasincludedplums,sweetpotatoes,cucumbers,zucchini,

carrots,summersquashandmuchmore. Throughbothofthesetypesofdistributions,nearly5,500peoplereceivedfoodthatmayhaveotherwisegonehungry.Thatequalsanadditional144,424poundsoffooddistributedtothecommunity. OnefarmersmarketattendeetoldanLSSstaffmember“Iwasjustwonderingthismorninghowweweregoingtogetenoughfoodfortherestofthemonth,andthenIoverheardaguytalkingaboutfreefruitsandvegetablesinthechurchparkinglot.Thisisananswertoourprayers.”

Thisyear’sLSSDaywiththeClipperswasasuccess!Ticketsweresoldoutawholeweekbeforetheevent,showingonceagainwhatgreatsupportwereceivefromourchurchandindividualsupporters.
