Education, Teaching Experience

•Past teaching experience: Pass Christian School District, 2 years

• My mother is a Special Education teacher at Long Beach High School and coach of the LBHS Swim Team. She also teaches swimming lessons to elementary students in the summer.

• My father and brother work together for an HVAC company. My brother Ronnie and I are very close (that’s what happens when you grow up guys—you quit hating your siblings).

• My nephew, Grayden, just turned three this August. He’s something else.

• Remus, my dog/terrorist, is two years old. Hmm… Remus. Interesting name, right? Have you heard it before?

How is our class run?

• Two summers back I was introduced to a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Donna Porter, and her student DJ. Because of this teacher/student duo, I practice a classroom management plan called Conscious Discipline. You’ll learn all about it.

Conscious Discipline

• We’ll do a few non-traditional things in class, such as:

• Keep up a Wish Well• Assign jobs• “Notice” each other• Fill each others’ buckets

Seriously, it’s newsworthy. • http

My Promise to You

• Memorizing dates, facts, and figures won’t earn you anything but points in a trivia game. As a social studies teacher, I promise to teach you life skills you can USE.
