LWXM WILDFLOWER MEADOW MIX STATEMENT
Containing twenty eight UK Native wildflower species and grasses, this mixturecontains a larger quantity of annuals, ideal for situations where first year colour isimportant, but a permanent meadow is required. LWXP supports bees, butterfliesand other pollinators as 81% of the wildflowers included in this mixture arerecommended by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) as ‘Perfect for Pollinators’.5g per sq m - ca 655g seed required.

NotesTop Soil - All topsoil that is imported should be free from asbestos, metals, plastic, wood, glass,tarmac, paper and odours associated with contaminated soils and comply with therequirements of BS 3882:2007 – Specification for topsoil and requirements for use or Guernseyequivalent.
Nursey Stock - All plant stock, plant handling and planting to be undertaken in accordance withthe following British Standard Specification and Code of Practice:
BS 3936:1992 Part 1 Nursery Stock - Specification for trees and shrubs;BS 3936:1981 Part 10 Nursery Stock - Specification for ground cover plants;BS 4428:1989 - Code of Practice for General Landscaping Operations (excluding hard surfaces);BS 8545:2014 Trees from Nursery to Independence in the Landscape;
All plants and trees should be inspected carefully upon their arrival on site by contractor. Anydamaged or diseased stock should be rejected. Any extremely root bound container stock shouldbe rejected. The planting holes should be at least two times wider than root ball and planted onfirm subsoil. Plant to same level as grown in nursery. Planting pit sides and bottom should be lightlyforked. Root balls slightly teased to benefit successful establishment. Any non-biodegradeablenursery wrappings (ie plastic or wire) to be disposed of by suitable means. Planting holes should bebackfilled with the same soil that was removed. Organic mulch should be spread around plants toa minimum depth of 100mm. NB: Bare soil should be left at the base of trunk/leader so as to inhibitrisk of rot.
Watering - NB: All plants and trees will need watering after planting. Tree pits should be watered inadvance of planting and after planting. All plants and trees will need irrigation for the first twogrowing seasons - Water bowser or simular recommended for use in ongoing Maintenance of site.
NB: Underground services - If any unknown underground services are found during planting consultrelevant Contractor for direction.
