On March 7th & 8th, the Tri-
Village Drama Club will be
presenting Midsummer/
Jersey, the hilarious high-
octane re-telling of Shake-
speare’s A Midsummer
Night’s Dream set on the
boardwalk of a seaside town
in modern-day New Jersey.
The story is centered on the
affairs of four love-struck
teenagers and their endeav-
ors to pursue love at all
costs. The play takes an in-
triguing turn as the crushes
accidentally become entan-
gled in a magical fairy world
where the king and queen’s
argument over a birthday
present spirals out of control.

Thank you to everyone for being flexible and understanding as we work to-
gether with the blizzard bag policy. Again for clarification, the guidelines are
as follows: Online assignments will only be accessible through the website
for 24 hours. After that, students will be responsible for getting the assign-
ments from their teachers. Attendance for these three days will be based on
completion of these assignments. Please have your students turn each as-
signment in to the appropriate teacher. If you have any questions don’t hesi-
tate to contact the office.
The Feed the Hungry Chil-
dren Backpack Program will
be doing a fundraiser dinner
in between the basketball
games on Saturday, Febru-
ary 8th from 3:00-5:45 pm.
All proceeds go to support
students attending Tri-
Village who do not have
enough to eat on weekends.
The meal will be $5.00 with
some of the menu items in-
cluding chili soup, hot
chicken sandwiches, and
grilled cheese. Other items
will be available sold sepa-
rately.
If you are interested in do-
nating any items to the
fundraiser, please contact
Stephanie Benedict before

Our Hall of Fame Induction
will also be this night during
the boys’ game. We would
love to see an incredible
turnout to support not only
our new Hall of Fame mem-
bers, but most of all those
students in our district who
could use your care and
support. Please call the of-
fice with any questions.

The boys basketball team
has been doing some spec-
tacular things this season.
Colton Linkous was voted
player of the week on week
4 of JJHuddle.com’s compe-
tition. Colton took the lead
with almost 19,000 votes.
The boys were also voted
team of the week on week 6
with 2900 votes. Both are
perfect examples of the out-
pouring of Patriot spirit that
Tri-Village is known for. Well
done Patriot Nation!
All victories aside, the nail-
biter against Bethel on Janu-
ary 25th will go down in the
history books. Coming from a
15 point deficit at halftime,
the Patriots rallied back with a
stunning second half that sent
them into overtime. A three-
pointer by sophomore Tyler
VanWinkle with the final
buzzer clinched this game for
Tri-Village with a victory that’s
nothing short of a miracle.

MESSAGE FROM MR. MORRIS Happy 2014, Tri-Village:
We’ve seen our fair share of snow this year in Darke County, but that hasn’t stopped our
students from doing what they do best. We have students gearing up for the Darke
County Science Fair, students representing our school district at the Darke County Spell-
ing Bee, and student-athletes putting all of their efforts on the hardwood for all of us to
enjoy many nights a week! Join us for our upcoming Chili Supper benefiting our Back-
Pack Program on Saturday February 8, between our girls and boys regular season bas-
ketball finales. Senior Recognition Night will take place during these games as well.
We’re working towards a spring testing schedule, and trying our best to make our par-
ents, our school, and our community proud. Join us!
