W ith the 2012 season well underway the competition just seems to get stronger. Look for some very competitive racing again as the Super Late Models return for round two. Y ou can count on a new face tonight in victory lane at the Papa Johns 100. Last month’s winner Chase Elliott is not here because of schedule conflicts with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. Since signing with Hendricks Motorsports, Elliott is committed to the K&N Series and either Rookie of the Year or the overall National Champi- onship. T he Buddy’s Home Furnishings Blizzard Series is one of the most competitive series in the nation and some of the nation’s best short track drivers are here to show you why . If you can win or just run up front with drivers such as Garvey, Enfinger, Davidson, Pollard, Grill, Wilson and a host of others, then you are one of the best. That’s why the Buddy’s Blizzard Series is one of the “Elite” series. This is the best proving ground for the Snowball Derby. A top ten in the Blizzard points could also land you a guaranteed starting spot in the Derby. A fter this race, only three more are left on the 2012 schedule so look for the competition and car count to contin- ue to grow. The top 7 in the Blizzard Series are shown on the right. These drivers move to Mobile International Speedway tomorrow night. One lucky driver will pocket a cool $1,000.00 bonus for the best two night aver- age, plus some valuable points toward the overall Sonoco Gulf Coast Cham- pionship , which includes both tracks. See page 3 for the standings to date. S portsman and Bomb- ers are also racing tonight. I don’t even have to tell you what kind of action you will see in these two divi- sions. Brandon Burks of Milton, and Brannon Fowler from Molino are the front runners in these two exciting divisions. If you’ve never seen these drivers battle it out then you are in for a real treat. If you have seen them, then “enough said”. The race in 2 weeks will feature the Sportsmen Spectacular. U ntil next time “Be Safe” and we’ll see you in the pits. Who will be the Best of the Blizzard? With the 2012 season well underway the

competition just seems to get stronger. Look for some very competitive racing again as the Super Late Models return for round two.

You can count on a new face tonight in

victory lane at the Papa Johns 100. Last month’s winner Chase Elliott is not here because of schedule conflicts with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. Since signing with Hendricks Motorsports, Elliott is committed to the K&N Series and either Rookie of the Year or the overall National Champi-onship.

Is This the Image You Have of a Motorcycle Racer?

Well, look again. This is Mary Lis. Mary has been racing for a year, and won her first event in Talladega on her Suzuki GSX-R 600. She’s the points leader in the WERA in the South-east USA. She was one of our racers 2 weeks ago, when Rob McClendon shown on one wheel, won it all.
