Show GuideISE 2020
ISE 2020Welcome to
Welcome to CYP at ISE 2020 - The AV Distribution experts for both the commercial and custom install
markets!
This year you will notice a change to our show guide, as we have chosen to educate rather than just talk new
products. That is not to say that we don’t have lots of new products to show you but rather we wanted to give
you something to take away that you can use on a daily basis, such as our system solution technology guide and
our easy-to-follow fault finding cribb sheet (see the back of the sheet for more).
Our R&D engineers have been busy developing lots of new products since last year’s show, with the fruits of their
labours available to see for the first time at ISE this year! Key products to look for include:
PUV-1630RTX – as an addition to our expanding association with commercial power and lighting company CMD,
the PUV-160RTX is a flush-mount table top transmitter perfectly designed to use in boardrooms and huddle
spaces for discrete connectivity.
We have been working along side the SDVoE Alliance to develop a new range of extenders and matrices that
combine fiber connectivity with LAN infrastructures. Capable of distributing a 4KHDR (6G) signal over a 10G
IP Fiber Network with almost zero latency, our SDV range (SDV-CTRX, SDV-FTRX and SDV-CS8) is ideal for those
installations that require either high-bandwidth AV or data transmission or long runs of up to 30km.
HDBaseT continues to be enhanced, with our MOD-X featuring our AVLC technology (see reverse of this guide for
further information) for true 4K UHD video compatibility. Also on stand is our award-winning MA-421 mini-matrix,
having secured a 5 out of 5 review in the UK’s popular Home Cinema Choice magazine.
But these are just a few of the many products we have on show. Use this guide to our stand so that you don’t miss
anything and thanks again for visiting. Please feel free to ask any of the CYP experts to show you around.
We hope you enjoy ISE 2020 as we say farewell to Amsterdam and ¡hola! to Barcelona in 2021!

IntroductionAV fault-finding can be a complex process. That there is an issue is obvious but finding out what the issue is, can be a lot more complex. Our service department is called on a daily basis to help with AV-related issues, so we thought we would share our fault-finding process chart with you, just as a helping hand were you to have any future problems.
To help find problems, we also stock a wide-range of testing equipment, including HDMI pattern generators and analysis devices, all designed to make fault finding easier, save you time and, therefore, be more efficient.
IntroductionThere is a wealth of technology available, all of which can determine the quality and distance of data and AV transmission. We have created this useful guide to give you a better understanding of which technology to choose when putting together either a commercial or residential AV installation.
HDBaseTNow a seasoned technology,
HDBaseT converts audio and video signals to run along inexpensive
Cat 5e/6/7 cables to distances of up to 100 metres. In addition, by
introducing matrix switching, full scale AV distribution systems have
also become relatively affordable, with source control and integration
with automated home control systems also part of the package.
With the recent development of new compression technology, such as our
own AVLC (Adaptive Visual Lossless Compression), HDBaseT is now
capable of delivering faithful 4K HDR signals by compressing the signal at
source and then transmitting up to 100 metres.

SDVoEThanks to its ability to handle huge
bandwidth over long distances, SDVoE (Software Defined Video-
over-Ethernet) technology is an excellent option when it comes to
AV installations, particularly in the corporate sector. But it is not just
about distance; when using fiber, the signal is immune from any air-bound
RF (Radio Frequency) and magnetic interference to the signal. Whether
it is a point-to-point installation, multiple sources feeding multiple
displays or a single source feeding a display wall, our range of SDVoE
products offers a wide range of solutions for any application.
PRO-FiberBy turning the electrical signal into
light, data (or an AV signal) can travel at high-speed along an optical
cable, offering near zero latency. Ideal for those wanting a signal to
travel long distances at high speed, PRO-Fiber is the ideal choice in the
commercial world to transmit data between buildings or where zero
latency is required, such as in the medical and commerce worlds. Once
considered an expensive option, the price of cabling has significantly
reduced in recent years, making it now accessible for any installation.
Capable of reaching huge distances without any effects on the signal
quality, Pro-Fiber is becoming ever more popular.
AV Over IPAV Over IP (Audio-Visual over Internet
Protocol) is the transmission of audio, video and control signals
over a network cable infrastructure. Significantly, an AV Over IP AV
distribution system can be used over an existing LAN, so is ideally
placed where running a dedicated cable infrastructure is not an option.
Unlike other systems, AV Over IP uses standard network switches to route
the signal, which also means that an installer is not limited to the number
of transmitters/receivers utilised within a system. A very flexible
option, AV Over IP is already being used extensively within commercial
developments.
Premium Certified HDMI CableThe CYP HDMP-700M is a certified Premium HDMI Cable, fully supporting 4K UHD and HDR (High Dynamic Range) AV content.
Offering the ultimate in audio visual signal transmission performance, this new fully-certified Premium HDMI 7 metre long cable features insulated metal plugs and shielded cable, ideal for hard-wearing installations where reliability is essential.
CYP’s Premium HDMI cables are compatible with the full range of HDMI specifications, including 4K UHD (2160p), FULL HD (1080p) and ‘deep colour’/High Dynamic Range resolutions, 3D, Ethernet (HEC) and ARC (Audio Return Channel).
