»Inge Andersen –Fallen Angel«Inge Andersen (1968), studied Educational Psychology in Utrechtand Amsterdam, got her Ph.D. in Social Science and has worked as aresearcher and consultant. Throughout her career she has continuedwriting songs, performing regularly as a back-up singer. In 2005, she accompanied Eric Andersen on his tour throughoutJapan, providing back-up vocals. Many joint performances followed,in venues all over the globe. In 2006, Eric and Inge got married. In 2008, she was invited by Norwegian Hardanger fiddle playerHallvard Bjørgum to record vocal harmonies for his album “PeaceWill Come”. The album was released in March 2009 – a collection ofrecordings based on Bjørgum’s musical collaborations (includingRick Danko, Garth Hudson, Jonas Fjeld, Blondie Chaplin).In 2009, Inge and Kersten de Ligny sang harmony for “The LoneWolves”, a collaboration of Eric Andersen, Ad Vanderveen and Texansongwriter Richard Dobson. Spanning sixties Greenwich Village folkand today’s Americana, this project gave an overview of the musicaldevelopment from protest singer to contemporary singer-songwriter.Inge’s vocals can also be heard on Eric Andersen’s recently releasedalbum “The Cologne Concert”.In 2011, she performed as a guest on Eric Andersen’s webcast inWoodstock, New York, along with performers such as John Sebastian,Happy Traum and Joe Flood. Following the webcast, John Sebastiancommented on her singing with – Inge, you were the secret weapon!In 2011, Inge recorded her debut album “Fallen Angel" in Italy. Forthis album, roles were reversed, and Eric Andersen accompanies Ingeon guitar and piano. The album is produced for MEYER RECORDS byEric Andersen, together with the Italian violinist, composer and songpoet Michele Gazich. Eric, Inge and Michele Gazich had previouslycollaborated on Eric Andersen’s live album and they still performtogether regularly.

Besides her own songs, Inge Andersen includes a beautiful version ofEric Andersen’s “Round the Bend“ and a haunting version of “TheProdigal Son”. This last song, performed 60 years earlier by HankWilliams, features Norwegian Hardanger fiddle player HallvardBjørgum and Garth Hudson from The Band on keyboard, saxophoneand accordeon.

The album consists of ten melodic songs with strong lyrics. As soundengineer Paolo Costola remarked, – the lyrics cut you like a knife, butthe songs are so beautiful that you bleed and say thank you.
