"We were very impressed with IBM Lotus Notes/Domino 6, especially given it was in market for only 3 months at the time of this study. Notes/Domino 6 led the way in administration costs across all other products in the Enterprise Messaging portion of our study, and came out with a lower overall cost compared to Microsoft Exchange 2000 which we see as the closest competitor to Notes/Domino 6 from the aspect of functionality and use. Given the great focus on driving down TCO in Notes/Domino 6, we expect to see further reductions in TCO as deployments increase and organizations leverage more of its impressive capabilities." - Sara Radicati, Radicati Group, March 2003
