About the project „I am VOTING, so I AM!”

Inthecontextofthe„IamVOTING,soIAM!”project,weplantoimplementaYouthworkersmobilityactivity(aTrainingCourse),thatwilltakeplacebetweenthe12th and 19thofMay2019,inRušeandMaribor,inSlovenia.Ontheactivity,whichwillbeimplementedoneweekbeforetheelectionstotheEUparliament,wewillhave27youthworkersandyouthleadersfromninedifferentEU(pro-gramme)countries,includingSlovenia.Mobilityofyouthworkers(TrainingCourse)willlastfor7activedays,duringwhichwewillfocusoneducation,creativeprocesses,processesofpersonalaswellassocietalbroadeningofawareness,aswellasthecreationofcontent,thereachofwhichwillonseverallevelsalsofarexceedthecontextoftheactivityitself.

Thefocusofourprojectisprimarilyonthebuild-upandupgradeofpoliticalandmediacompetenciesofourparticipantsontheleveloftheirmutualintertwinement.Fromapointofbroadercontextualview,ourprojectalsofollowsastrategicobjectiveofgreaterpartic-ipationofyoungpeopleonthisyear`sEUparliamentaryelection.

Wewillachievethisobjectivebyfulfillingoneofthekeymissionsofourproject,whichistomotivateyouthworkersandactivevolun-teerswhoworkwithyoungpeopleindifferentEuropeancountriestocreativelyandproactivelymotivateyoungpeopletoparticipateintheelectionstotheEUparliament–sotoonthelevelofperson-alcontacts,throughorganizedactivitiesaimedatbroadeningtheawarenessregardingtheimportanceofthepoliticaldimensionofexperience/life,aswellasindirectlywiththehelpofmediamateri-alsofthe„IamVOTING,soIAM!”campaign.Weexpectourprojecttoservewithvaluableresultsthatwillcontributetothequalityofyouthworkwithinalldirectandindirectbeneficiariesoftheproject,thequalityoflifeofyoungbeneficiariesofyouthwork,aswellastotheimprovementofthequalityofourgeneralsocietaldemocracyandthespiritofactivecitizenship.

Encouraging youth to get moreinvolvedaswellasorganizationofthesimilaractivities in the community.

About Slovenia

Sloveniaisarelativelysmallandyoungcountry,whichonlyap-pearedonthemapin1991.ItoccupiesanexceptionalpositionatthemeetingpointoftheAlpsandMediterranean,andincludesthemysteriousKarstandexpansivePannonianplains.Sincetheearli-esttimesthediverseandrichnaturalandculturaltraditionshavefostered the creativity of writers and artists.
