of the events leading up to

the Revolutionary

War. We will have a quiz

on TUESDAY, JANUARY

13th. Your child has a

study guide glued into his/

her social studies note-

book.

Math

We will begin a new

unit on fractions. We

will look at fractions as

part of a set or

whole. We will have a

quiz on Thursday.

Each third grade class has cho-

sen a student of the week! The

Science

Students will finish up with

the sound unit next week.

There will be a test on

Wednesday, January 14th. A

Science Rewind will go

home to use as a study guide.

Students are also encouraged

to review the notes on pages

26 and 27 of the science

binder.

Reading

We have had a great time this week learning about idioms! We will continue to review idi-oms next week. We will wrap up our unit on Figurative Language with a test on Thurs-day. A study guide/notesheet will be sent home on Monday to help students prepare for this.

Language

We will study prefixes.
