A Close-Up in Ice Cream Making

How to make Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream with Graham Cracker and Chocolate Chunks

1. Make vanilla ice cream base.

2. Turn on the oven’s broiler and toast one bag of marshmallows until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes.

3. In the food processor, blend the ice cream base with the toasted marshmallows.

4. Freeze the ice cream according to machine’s instructions.

5. Chop about 5 graham crackers in different sized pieces and chunks.

6. Chop a Hershey’s bar into small chunks (or use chocolate chips).

7. In a container, layer the ice cream, graham crackers, and chocolate chunks.

8. Allow to freeze for a few hours and enjoy!

Problems I Faced• No mentor– Unable to get an interview– It would have been a great experience to see the

behind the scenes work at an ice cream store• Only one failed ice cream– Sweet Potato ice cream – My mistake-I didn’t refreeze the ice cream bowl
