Anglesea
Welcome to Anglesea – a seaside village for untamed spirits.
Come play with usAnglesea is the stuff of daydreams and childhood memories – where littlies fi rst dip their toes into the ocean, families trek hand-in-hand along bushland trails and new experiences challenge spirits of all ages. We’re all about fun, the outdoors and safely fi nding your (happy) place in the world, one day at a time.
Let yourself goWhat will you try today? A surfi ng lesson, kayaking on the river or a lazy pub lunch? Relax – our beaches are family-friendly and you’ve all the time in the world. Whatever you dare for today, whatever your ability, you’ll fi nd tour operators and friendly locals ready to help with know-how and equipment hire.
Colour and movementYear-round, energetic folk gather here for organised events: running, mountain biking, ocean swimming, surf carnivals and more. Anglesea has long been a hotspot for kids’ camps with many running holiday events and activities open to visitors. Why not join in and share the fun? Check in at the Visitor Information Centre to see what’s on.
Stay and playLet Anglesea truly inspire you… stay a few days, get to know us. Choose from holiday parks and backpackers to motels, resorts, camps and self-contained cottages near the beach or the bush. Wherever you stay, wake to the inspiring potential of a brand new day in Anglesea.

Take me to the riverAnglesea River offers boardwalks, jetties, riverside parks, paddle-boats and fl at water perfect for newbie kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding (SUP). Hire whatever you need – bikes, boards, motorised boats, kayaks, paddles or paddle-boards – then plunge in.
Park centralPicnic at Coogarah Reserve where young buccaneers can captain a sunken pirate ship. At Lions Park, they’ll thrill to a little people playground and skate park, then climb some massive carved wooden sea creatures near the Four Kings playground near the river mouth and beach access.
Give it a whirlZero in on Anglesea Bike Park’s 500m world-class mountain cross (4x) track and other awesome off road mountain bike tracks.
