Warrnambool is a natural for getting up close and personal with wildlife, ancient landscapes and programs dedicated to conservation.

Whale watchingWarrnambool’s number one write-home-about experience. Bring your binoculars, stake out a vantage spot at Logan’s Beach and await a rare glimpse of a Southern Right Whale. Between June and September, these majestic mammals return to calve in these waters, often swimming within a hundred metres off the shore. Tower Hill Wildlife ReserveA haven for native wildlife, indigenous culture and unique volcanic geology.
