IN-PERSON WORSHIP: With new guidelines from the CDC, we have made some changes to our COVID precautions. Masks and distancing are still required when moving through the narthex and church. For those who are not fully vaccinated, masks are required at all times. For those who are fully vaccinated, once you are in your pew, you are strongly encouraged to wear a mask, but it is not required. Please keep in mind that there may be others around you that have not yet received the vaccine or are ineligible to do so. COVID-19 NOTIFICATION: In the event that you develop symptoms of COVID-19 or test positive and you have attended worship or worked at the pantry, please contact Pastor Hahn (517-607-9429) as soon as possible. If Pastor Hahn is not available, please contact Christine McNamara (517-416-4713) or Tom Stockford-Shively (517-398-0773) instead. ALTAR FLOWERS: Our flower chart is posted for 2021, and you may sign up in the narthex. Flowers remain at $20 per week. SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE: We plan to continue holding two worship services each Sunday through the summer at 8:30 am and 11:00 am. RAISING OUR SPIRITS TOGETHER: Pastor Hahn has been collaborating with researchers at the University of Michigan School of Social Work to create a group program, called “Raising Our Spirits Together” to help people in Hillsdale and surrounding communities who are feeling down. Raising Our Spirits Together is a virtual small group program led by local pastors, including Pastor Hahn, where people who are feeling down or low come together to learn research supported tools and strategies to improve their mood and feel better. We are currently conducting a research study of “Raising Our Spirits Together” and looking for people who would be interested in participating in the study. People can receive up to $175 for participating. Those interested in participating in the study have a 50/50 chance of attending 8, weekly small group sessions held using Zoom videoconference software. Those that do not receive the program will receive a self-help workbook in the mail. If you, or someone you know, are interested in learning more about Raising Our Spirits Together, please get in touch with the research team by calling or texting (567) 703-7122 or emailing lowmoodstudy@umich.edu. You can also reach out to Pastor Hahn and let her know you would like more information!
