Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964● Companies cannot discriminate for any reason

o Race

o Ethnicity

o Religion

o Sex

● EEOC can sue companies for discrimination

o Must pay workers if they discriminate and decide to sue

Age Discrimination and Employment Act

● Cannot force retirement

● People between 40-70 can sue employers for discriminations

● Cannot discriminate based on age

● Includes: Hiring, promotions, or retirement

Americans with Disabilities Act

● No discriminating on people with disabilities

o Must not deny a position based on a disability

● Must accommodate for these people

● Examples:

o Wheel chair accessible

o Tools to do the job

o assisted technology
