2013 Motorcycle Safety Campaign:

• ERC 10 April Camp Kasserine (Register online)

• BRC 15-16 April BLDG 539 ( Register online)

• Developing a BMC Motorcycle Mentorship Program( MMP) . We currently have 7

organizations that are participating in this program.

• Monthly Motorcycle Minutes will be published and posted on the marquee .

• Specialty group rides are being planned ( ladies rides/ scenic river rides / new to Bavaria

rides etc)

• Services Consolidation: East Camp, Rose Barracks (RB) Educ Ctrs will

consolidate early Apr at RB, Bldg 223. All services continue at RB with

college classes/computer labs available both locations. (see next slide)

• Selection Instrument for Flight Training (SIFT) exam available since

Jan for Soldiers who need to take for flight school applications (replaced

AFAST)

• GED Testing: Estimate National Test Center (NTC) @ RB Ed Ctr will be

able to administer by mid March in computer based format. Until local

options resolved, can advise on prep resources incl giving practice tests

• East Camp and Rose Barracks (RB) Educ Ctrs will consolidate

most services early April at RB, Bldg 223 – To prepare for funding/personnel reductions, garrison can best leverage reduced

resources by consolidating

– Expanded RB Educ Ctr will accommodate all customers

– Efficient use of resources means all programs/services continue

• Impact to customers: – Through mid-Mar; some services @ RB temporarily displaced/disrupted as Bldg 223

renovated prior to consolidation

– Most services cease at East Camp Educ Ctr as of 29 Mar

– College classes, Army Learning Ctr (computer lab) and Univ MD testing continue

both locations

– After consolidation, customers receive face-to-face office services at Rose Barracks

– Will have additional options to use email, phone, and GoArmyEd portal help case

system for routine actions

renovation projects are ongoing.

• Soldiers clearing:

• Do not wait until the last minute to clear the bank

• Do not wait until the last minute to turn in coins: we do provide resources

• Accountholders with accounts on 90-day extension:

• Provide a good forwarding address and telephone number

• Remember that charges are assessed when using non-Community Bank

ATMs (to include balance inquiries)

• Remember to stop all local bill payments in advance: ask providers like

Telekom/TKS etc if any outstanding charges exist

• Notify the bank within at least five business days of any Standard Payment

Order (for example: rent) that needs to be stopped
