BIBLICA EXISTS TO PROVIDE THE BIBLE IN ACCURATE, CONTEMPORARY TRANSLATIONS AND FORMATS SO THAT MORE PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE TRANSFORMED BY JESUS CHRIST.
The Lord once again displayed His greatness by doing some truly marvelous things through Biblica in 2016. Perhaps the most amazing was using electronic technologies —internet, radio and TV, mobile apps, audio, and downloads—to reach over 3.8 billion people around the world!
That number is unprecedented, but it confirms Biblica’s 200+ year commitment to getting the Bible to people in languages and formats they understand so they can encounter God.
We seek to do that in three ways:

TRANSLATION
Bringing God’s Word to people in a way they understand, so they are transformed by Jesus Christ, is a big part of Biblica’s Mission. In the past year, that looked like this:
29TRANSLATIONPROJECTS
6COMPLETED TRANSLATIONS
2PUBLISHED TRANSLATIONS
Biblica completed the first-ever, full Bible for the Sorani Kurds last year. The new translation has been met with great joy and will be a powerful tool for evangelism, discipleship, and church growth in Kurdistan.

ACCESS
Biblica is committed to providing the Bible to everyone, no matter where they live.
When translation work is finished, we make the Bible available in a variety of formats—audio: for oral cultures and the visually impaired, print: for the many people who still lack hard-copy Bibles in their heart language, and digital: for access by computer and mobile devices.
More than 31,000 Bibles were provided to churches in Cuba in 2016. One Cuban pastor told of his congregation sharing a single Bible. The promise of additional Bibles brought tears to his eyes.

ENGAGEMENT
In order for the Bible to be used to transform lives, it must be opened and read.
Biblica is developing innovative programs to help people of all ages study and live out what they find in Scripture. Last year, these programs included:
“With this gift and training, I now look at this as my Bible college,” writes an inmate pastor in Uganda. “I look forward to sharing the gospel more boldly because I now understand.”

PARTNERSHIPS
The Bible tells us that “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” We believe that. And that’s why we see partnerships as the most effective way to do ministry.
Biblica partners with like-minded organizations to share God’s Word with the world. These include local churches, as well as hundreds of ministries like Compassion International, Feed the Hungry, and Prevention Time.
