An Invitation to Attend Air//Rail 2013The Air//Rail series of conferences have been taking place since 1993 and focus on rail links to airports, covering a wide range of topical issues - from planning and market research, through to investment and con-struction. Operational, technical, strategic and marketing specialists make presenta-tions and give best practice case-studies.
About the International Air Rail OrganisationEstablished in 1997, the IARO aims to spread world-class best practice and good work-able ideas among people involved in rail links to airports. Our business is integrated air-rail intermodality. We have a world-wide mem-bership, of organisations planning, develop-ing, building and operating rail air links - and also people (like airlines) who have a business interest in partnerships for their success.
Salt Lake City's TRAX system: opening April 2013 Air//Rail 2013 is being organised to mark the opening of the new TRAX light rail system, connecting downtown Salt Lake City Cen-ter to the Airport. The Airport TRAX Line is a six-mile light rail line that extends the existing TRAX system from the existing Arena Station at 400 West South Temple to North Temple and the Salt Lake City International Airport. Jour-ney time from downtown to the airport will be 20 minutes, with trains being initially run on 15-minute frequencies, subject to change.
